Taverna tou Zioga

We had dinner here after visiting the Meteora Monastery. Authentic Greek food. The restaurant is very big and clean. The owner Monica is a warm and hospitable beauty. She can speak a few Chinese characters. My husband wanted to eat meatballs as the main dish. I was afraid that it was lamb and my husband was complaining. Then I heard the beauty say pork in Chinese. My problem was solved immediately. My husband and I were hesitant about whether to have rice or potatoes as the main dish. Monica said half and half of each. Haha. The scenery outside the restaurant is pleasant. We had a great time eating and watching the scenery.

Located in the small town of Kalambaka, although it is the off-season in winter, this restaurant is doing pretty good business. The layout is relatively simple. I like the big photos hanging on the wall. The black and white ones are very distinctive. Mushrooms are a local specialty of Kalambaka and are of course a must-order (Figures 6 and 7). The steak is large in portion and tastes good, and the price is reasonable, with a high cost performance ratio...
