StevemnnnThe division of Sichuan cuisine into three schools is based on the established Shanghebang, Xiaohebang and Xiahebang, and is standardized and fully expressed as follows: Shanghebang Sichuan cuisine refers to the Rong-style Sichuan cuisine centered in Chengdu and Leshan in western Sichuan; [1] Xiaohebang Sichuan cuisine refers to the Yanbang cuisine centered in Zigong in southern Sichuan, and also includes Yibin cuisine, Luzhou cuisine and Neijiang cuisine [2]; Xiahebang Sichuan cuisine refers to Chongqing cuisine represented by Chongqing Jianghu cuisine and Wanzhou Dawan cuisine. The three schools together constitute the three major mainstream local flavor schools of Sichuan cuisine, representing the highest artistic level of Sichuan cuisine development. On September 28, 2017, the China Cuisine Association awarded the title of "Hometown of Sichuan Chefs" to Meishan City, Sichuan, and Meishan cuisine became the representative of Sichuan cuisine.

This restaurant serves authentic home-cooked meals that taste great. The environment is also nice, and the beautiful Tibetan waitresses are very welcoming. The stone-ground beef with tofu and the spicy fish are especially delicious.
It's suitable for the general public, not spicy, and tastes good. Both of us basically finished it.
It's quite special and has local characteristics. You can try it.
A must-see in Sichuan: Dujiangyan!! A 2-day, 1-night tour of this millennium-old water conservancy marvel for just 400 RMB per person! Who doesn't know this, folks! Don't just focus on the crowds in Chengdu when you come to Sichuan—Dujiangyan is the hidden gem! You can see a 2000-year-old water conservancy masterpiece, immerse yourself in fresh air, and enjoy unparalleled value for money on food, accommodation, and transportation. Save this comprehensive guide! 🌟Must-Visit Attractions|A Perfect Blend of Nature and Culture ▫️Dujiangyan Scenic Area: A World Heritage-Level Water Conservancy Miracle! Follow a guide to explore the Fish Mouth, Feisha Weir, and Baopingkou, witnessing firsthand the wisdom of "man controlling water and drought." The hike is not tiring, and you can enjoy panoramic views of the Minjiang River's rushing waters. 🌊 We recommend the route: "South Bridge → Yangong Road → Fish Mouth → Feisha Weir → Baopingkou → Erwang Temple," avoiding backtracking (ticket price 80 yuan, half price for students, super affordable!). ▫️South Bridge: A "must-see" landmark in Dujiangyan, the covered bridge with its upturned eaves is perfect for photos! In summer, stand on the bridge, feel the Minjiang River breeze, and watch the waves roll below. When the lights come on at night, it feels like stepping into an ancient painting. (Free to visit, a must-take photo!) ▫️Qingcheng Back Mountain: A natural oxygen bar! More tranquil than the front mountain, with a moderate hiking difficulty, the trail connects waterfalls, streams, and boardwalks. The stilted houses of Tai'an Ancient Town are nestled among the mountains and forests. When tired, enjoy a bowl of spring water tea – the main focus is relaxation (entrance fee 20 yuan, excellent value for the fresh air and lung-cleansing experience). ▫️Panda Valley: The joy of getting up close and personal with pandas! The pandas here are more lively; you can see them climbing trees and rolling around. Less crowded and less secluded, it's easier to get close-up photos than the Chengdu Panda Base (entrance fee 55 yuan, a must-visit for families and panda lovers). ▫️Guanxian Ancient City: The "fireworks center" of Dujiangyan, free to explore and eat! The cobblestone streets are lined with old teahouses and snack stalls. Stroll through the ancient city in the evening and enjoy the food; the night view is a completely different experience from the daytime water conservancy scenery. ▫️Yangtianwo Square: The giant "selfie panda" sculpture is so cute! Taking photos under the panda's paw is super creative! The surrounding area has lawns and walking paths, perfect for a relaxing break and a photo opportunity after a long walk (free and convenient). 🍜Food List|Local Hides of Authentic Flavors ▪️You Rabbit Head (West Street Branch): A signature dish of Dujiangyan! The five-spice and spicy rabbit heads are stewed until tender and fall off the bone, incredibly flavorful. A must-have for locals while watching TV or enjoying with drinks. Vacuum-packed, it makes a great souvenir. ▪️Zhang Fermented Rice (West Street Branch): A 30-year-old intangible cultural heritage shop! The brown sugar fermented rice with egg is sweet but not cloying, with a rich aroma of fermented rice wine. Paired with crispy fried dough sticks, a warm and comforting breakfast (around 10 RMB per person, you can eat your fill). ▪️Scallion Rolls next to the old You Rabbit Head shop: A hidden gem of a street food! Thin pancakes wrapped around shredded radish and potato, drizzled with a secret-recipe chili oil, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, 3 for 5 yuan – super affordable! ▪️Stone-ground Tofu Pudding Shop: Freshly ground tofu pudding, delicate and refreshing, with two dipping sauces: spicy and garlic. Served with fried rice with cured pork, it's a truly home-style meal. A satisfying meal for around 30 yuan per person! ▪️West Street Sad Jelly Noodles: Authentic Sichuan-style jelly noodles! The chili oil is spicy and addictive, and the pea flour noodles are chewy and smooth. It's "sad" but you can't stop eating it. A perfect match with ice jelly to cool down the spiciness! ▪️Must-Try Local Items: Cured pork sausage (rich smoky flavor), fermented bean curd (a perfect accompaniment to rice), kiwi fruit (a specialty of Dujiangyan, sweet and juicy). Available at street stalls and markets. 📍Accommodation Recommendation|Affordable and Convenient ✅Economy: Holiday Inn Express Dujiangyan Ancient City, 150+ yuan including breakfast for two, 5-minute walk to South Bridge, free parking + laundry. Rooms, the King of Value ✅ Scenic View Rooms: Dujiangyan Sunac Jinyue Hotel, with mountain views right from the window, 2 km from the scenic area, offers family rooms and a heated swimming pool, making it super worry-free for families with kids. ✅ Ancient Town Charm: Dujiangyan West Street B&B Cluster, many Chinese-style courtyard B&Bs with charming wooden structures, enjoy the night view of the ancient town, and the food street is right outside the door. ✅ High-End Choice: Dujiangyan Sunac Wanda Vista Hotel, with Chinese garden design and private hot spring pools, perfect for kids looking for a relaxing vacation, a little luxury now and then! Worth it! 🚗2 Days 1 Night Itinerary (Leisurely Roaming Version) Day 1: Visit Nanqiao Bridge → In-depth tour of Dujiangyan Scenic Area (listen to a guide to learn about history) → Explore West Street → Dinner: You Rabbit Head + Douhua (tofu pudding) → Night tour of Guanxian Ancient City Day 2: Breakfast: Zhang Laozhao (fermented rice wine) → Hike and breathe fresh air in the back mountains of Qingcheng Mountain (or see pandas at Panda Valley) → Photograph pandas at Yangtianwo Square → Lunch: Cured pork fried rice → Return trip 💡Useful Tips 1. It is recommended to go to Dujiangyan Scenic Area early to avoid the crowds after 10 am. 1. A guided tour (around 50 RMB) will provide a better understanding of water conservancy wisdom; otherwise, you might get confused while exploring. 2. City transportation is super convenient. Taxi fares start at 8 RMB, and there are buses between scenic areas. You can also rent electric bikes. 3. The best seasons are spring and autumn. In summer, the back of Qingcheng Mountain is very cool (5℃ lower than the city), and in winter, it's less crowded and quieter, offering great value for money. 4. For souvenirs, choose vacuum-packed rabbit heads and Qingcheng Mountain cured pork. They're cheaper and more authentic than those from trendy shops, and even more cost-effective at the local market. You absolutely can't miss Dujiangyan when you come to Sichuan! It boasts the weight of a thousand-year history and the tranquility of mountains, rivers, and fields. You can have a great time on a budget, making it suitable for students, families, and budget travelers. #DujiangyanTourism #Dujiangyan #SichuanTourism
