Le Saint Jean

The proprietor was very welcoming, professional and had a great sense of humor. He was very helpful in answering our questions about the cuisine. The portions of food are quite generous and very delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a great dinner at Le Saint Jean in Villefranche-de-Conflent. The food was excellent—well-cooked, full of flavour, and thoughtfully presented. The hosts were lovely: the husband was warm and welcoming, and his wife, who is the chef, clearly knows her craft.They’re originally from Portugal, and the Portuguese dishes on the menu were particularly impressive—authentic and delicious—but the French options were also very good. We chose from the set menus, which offered great value for money, especially for a restaurant in a tourist town.There were four of us, and we all enjoyed our meals. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the area and looking for quality food with friendly service

Wonderful restaurant. Very friendly owner. Fresh food, great choice of dishes. Food was very good, amazing flavour. The Pastel de Nata were incredible, straight ftom the oven. We will definatley be back again.
