When we come to Cangzhou, Hebei, we naturally want to eat the local Hebei cuisine. It is the name of this Xiao Fangniu Hebei Cuisine restaurant that attracted us. The environment near the North China Department Store is quite good, and the service in the restaurant is also good.

The service is thoughtful and enthusiastic. There are saddle chairs and cows at the door, and there are tractors in the restaurant, all of which can be used by children to sit on and take pictures. The price is not expensive and the cost performance is high. The cold cucumber is refreshing and fragrant. I don’t think there is anything special about the fried milk. It tastes the same as the fried milk in other restaurants. Ladies and children like it. The eight-treasure porridge is cooked to the right degree and the sweetness is moderate. The fairy chicken is well-deserved. The chicken is tender and tasty, and the skin is thin and crispy. I can’t eat enough. I must order it every time I come. The spinach pie tastes average and is slightly greasy. Baiyangdian shrimp lotus root cake, you can taste the fragrance of shrimp and lotus root. It is not recommended to order it if there are few people. It will be greasy if you eat too much.

I went there at the end of August. The menu had changed. I asked the waiter and they said they didn't have pork elbow in pot. It opened at 11:00. There was no queue. It was slowly filled up. The environment was good, the decoration was authentic and generous, the service attitude was warm, and a small fruit plate was served as soon as I sat down. I tried the fried milk that I had to order, and it was just ordinary fried milk. I didn't think it was anything special.

The restaurant is in a good location, right in the North China Commercial Building, with very convenient transportation. There are many people at mealtime, and you need to queue. The decoration of the restaurant is quite distinctive, with spacious seats and divided into several areas, which seems relatively quiet. The dishes are carefully presented when they are served, which is pleasing to the eye. Several main dishes taste good and are cheap. It is a restaurant with good value for money. The fairy chicken has crispy skin and tender meat. The Baiyangdian crispy fish is well-seasoned and tender, suitable for the elderly and children. The bone residue meatballs have small crispy bones, which are quite distinctive. The Baoding pot-baked pork elbow has thin pancakes and crispy skin, but the elbow is a bit greasy after being fried.

Very good Hebei cuisine, every dish tastes great, the fairy chicken is a must-order every time, highly recommended. The dining environment is very good, and the service attitude is probably the best I have ever seen.
