HHippo travel journey: The location next to old town. The famous bake cheese pie is just in front of hotel. Receptionist was kind. If you arrived before checked in and storage the luggage with them. They will put luggage in your room after you checked in the luggage already in your room. Definitely come back and stay again.

GGuest User: The room was clean and odor-free, and the location was convenient. Check-in was self-service as there's no front desk. It's about a 15-minute walk to the train station, or even quicker by taking just two stops on public transport. Overall, it was quite good. Can't think of anything else.

XXiao mi Tina: The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and the KKL Culture and Convention Centre. There are also plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The room was a bit small, and on the day we checked in, it was around 30 degrees Celsius, making the room stuffy. We relied entirely on a standing fan that was constantly oscillating. It happened to be the local music festival, and there were small band performances in the nearby park and at the train station.

Kkimi_2007: This hotel of Luzern boasts an exceptional location. It’s a convenient walk from the train station even with luggage. Getting to the area’s major attractions is easy. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets are nearby. The rooms are very clean and offer nice city views. Highly recommended—great choice for your stay.

TTzyy0: The hotel is within a reasonable walking distance of the city centre, making it a convenient base for exploring. However, it can get quite noisy at night, depending on people walking past the hotel and other guests on nearby floors, as the soundproofing isn’t very good. The room also doesn’t have blackout curtains, so it gets quite bright early in the morning. The pillows were too flat for my liking, and I didn’t find the bed particularly comfortable. The coffee machine was also out of order during our stay. That said, the staff were attentive and helpful. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage before check-in at no extra charge, even though their online policy suggested otherwise, which we really appreciated.

Ppetter62: First off, the location isn't too far from Lucerne train station. We had a Swiss Pass, so we could take the bus for free. We rode one stop, got off, crossed a road, and turned left – super convenient! Many bus routes pass by, and Chapel Bridge is just a walk away. The hotel upgraded us to a deluxe double room, which was much larger. There was plenty of space for luggage, and it didn't feel cramped at all. The room was clean, and they provided two large bottles of water daily, which was enough for our needs. Everything was great, and the only reason I didn't give full marks was the extra tax charged, as others have mentioned. Initially, the front desk staff was polite. When I showed them my booking confirmation, pointing out that the tax on the order differed from what I actually paid, they looked at it for a while, then unhappily replied, 'I don't know.' I ended up contacting Ctrip customer service. They told me they'd contacted the hotel but couldn't negotiate. Finally, Ctrip customer service said they would compensate the difference with points, which arrived quickly – kudos to Ctrip! Many people have brought up this tax issue, and I'm not sure where the problem lies. Other hotels in Switzerland charged exactly what was stated on the booking. Only this hotel charged differently. Although it wasn't a lot of money, it felt a bit uncomfortable. Also, someone mentioned a 100 CHF deposit per day, which they indeed charged. When I checked out, I specifically asked when it would be refunded, and the front desk said the same day, which it was. In Lucerne, there's a Chinese restaurant called No. 8 that serves delicious Chinese food, completely authentic to domestic tastes. The owner is also very nice and polite.

AAnonymous User: From check-in to check-out, we absolutely loved every moment of our stay. The ladies at reception were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when assisting us with arranging our trip to Mt. Pilatus. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices to start the day right. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of everything, with just a few minutes’ walk to the main attractions. Having a parking lot right next to the hotel was also a huge plus for us. Excellent service, a fantastic location, and thoughtful little perks. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Switzerland. Highly recommended! ❤️

JJessbling: I had been checking for room availability at Cascada almost every week because it seemed to sell out so quickly. When a room finally became available for our travel dates, I booked it immediately. After staying here, I completely understand why it's so popular. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious by Swiss hotel standards. One detail I absolutely loved was the hotel's unique waterfall theme. Every room is named after a Swiss waterfall, and there's a QR code in the room that lets you learn more about the waterfall you're staying in. Ours was the *Rheinfall* room, which added a fun and memorable local touch to our stay. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of options, making it easy to start the day well-fed before exploring Lucerne. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, with the reception team being especially friendly and helpful. The location is another major highlight. The hotel is only about a 6-minute walk from Lucerne train station, making it very convenient for travellers arriving by train. At the same time, it's situated on a quieter street, away from the crowds and traffic around the station area, so it feels much more peaceful. The Old Town and the iconic Chapel Bridge are also within easy walking distance, around 10 to 12 minutes away. As an added bonus, guests receive a visitor card that provides free public transportation during their stay, making it even easier to get around the city. Overall, Cascada Boutique Hotel offers the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and thoughtful hospitality. From the spacious themed rooms to the friendly staff and excellent location, it's easy to see why this hotel is often fully booked. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Lucerne.

A relatively free day on our France, Italy, and Switzerland trip. Walking along Lake Lucerne, every snapshot turned out beautiful. P1–P10 were basically just casual shots by the lakeside. Climb the high tower of the town's castle for a bird's-eye view of the entire town. P11–P12. Taking a boat cruise on the lake, you can see the iconic Swiss wooden cabins and green carpets (lawns). It is truly quite relaxing.

Finally, the all-new Titlis Tower is open, so I immediately finalized my summer Switzerland itinerary! Last time I went to Europe alone for an art tour, but this time I'm bringing my kids and my best friend's family to really experience Switzerland in depth 🇨🇭. When you come to the Alps, you have to head to the top of a snow-capped mountain. The kids want to run freely in the meadows, and we are looking forward to the magnificent glaciers. For this trip, we chose the newly opened Titlis Tower. Taking the three-stage cable car slowly upward, the scenery changes layer by layer along the way. The lush green mountain meadows slowly transition to vast, snow-white glaciers. The visual impact of experiencing two seasons in one day moved both the adults and the children. After arriving at the summit, we walked into the Titlis Tower. The open observation deck offers a 360° view of the rolling snow-covered mountains. In our leisure time, we could sit at Joseph’s Restaurant, looking up at the snow-capped peaks and down at the clear blue lakes. We could also browse the Rolex boutique to keep a memento of our mountain trip. The memory of gazing at the Alps from here a few years ago came flooding back ⛰️ Visiting Titlis in spring and summer, you can still experience unique snow and ice activities: · Titlis Rotair 360° rotating cable car · Ice Flyer · Glacier Park (open annually from May 29 to July 15) · Glacier Cave ✅ Outfit tips: The temperature at the summit is low, so bring a light down jacket. At the foot of the mountain, wear short sleeves with a sun-protective shirt, as the temperature difference between day and night is huge. ✅ Complete route reference: Take a train from Lucerne to the town of Engelberg → transfer to the cable car to reach the summit of Mount Titlis → arrive at the summit and visit the newly opened Titlis Tower (observation deck/Joseph’s Restaurant/Rolex boutique) → experience glacier activities as desired, and you can arrange a short mountain hike. ✅ Itinerary suggestion: Reserve at least half a day so you don't have to rush, and take your time to soak in the atmosphere of the snow-capped mountains. ✅ Tips: The opening status of various snow and ice facilities may be adjusted due to weather and safety factors. It is recommended to check the latest operating information on the official website before you travel. Who could refuse a landmark at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, the Titlis Tower! It's already on my Switzerland travel bucket list. Friends planning to go to Switzerland, why not search for "Titlis Tower" on Trip.com, check the tickets and transportation, and save this mountain travel guide.

Just got back. I spent my entire 13-day vacation in Switzerland. No rushing through multiple countries, sleeping in every day—the pace was just right. 📍 Overview Located in the Alps, featuring snow-capped mountains, lakes, and cliffside towns. The entire trip was connected by the Swiss Travel Pass, perfect for travelers looking for deep relaxation. 🗺️ Itinerary Day 1: Geneva → Montreux → Zermatt → Mürren → Lungern → Lucerne → Zurich Tip: Scenic trains are popular. Book at least 90 days in advance. ✨ Highlights Open your window to views of snow-capped mountains. The five-lake hike is incredibly photogenic. Taking the cogwheel train to the summit makes for a relaxed, non-tiring schedule. 🍜 Local specialties Cheese fondue (buy ingredients at Coop), Lindt chocolate (Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich), and grilled sausage (Lucerne Old Town). 🏨 Accommodation recommendations 1. Scenic area guesthouse: Hotel Bella Vista Zermatt, super convenient walking distance to the Matterhorn viewing platform. 2. City hotel: Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern, right next to the Lucerne train station, making transfers a breeze. 🎒 Travel essentials 1. Protection: High-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, waterproof jacket. 2. Small items: Type J adapter, credit card, coin purse. 💡 Practical tips 1. The pass pays for itself after 4–5 intercity trips. 2. Have sunglasses ready for high-altitude photos. 3. Wear non-slip shoes for hiking and stay safe. 4. Follow the plastic bottle refund policy when buying water at supermarkets. Give your heart to the Alps and leave the rest to the scenery. A charming little city that offers it all: a historic old town, a serene lake, majestic mountains, and stunning scenery 🏔️💙 📍 Stroll across Chapel Bridge & explore the Old Town 🚤 Take in the views of Lake Lucerne 🏔️ Pick your mountain adventure: Pilatus, Rigi, or Titlis 🧀 Savor local favorites like Rösti, Fondue, Raclette, and authentic Swiss chocolate 🍫 🚆 Getting around is a breeze via train, boat, bus, or just wandering on foot If you love leisurely walks with great views and a mix of nature and history, Lucerne should definitely be on your bucket list 🇨🇭❤️

A charming small town that brings together “Old Town • Lake • Mountains” in one place 🏔️💙 If Zurich represents the modern side of Switzerland, Lucerne shows its more romantic and classic side. Located on the shores of Lake Lucerne and surrounded by majestic mountains, this town features a delightful Old Town that is a joy to explore. Its highlights include ancient wooden bridges, beautifully colored buildings, narrow riverside streets, and mountain views visible from almost every corner. Best of all, many major attractions are located close to each other, making it incredibly easy to explore on foot. 🚶🏻♀️ 📍 8 Must-Visit Spots in Lucerne 01 — Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) 🌉 The city's number one landmark and one of Switzerland's most famous covered wooden bridges. Paired with the Water Tower, it’s an essential photo spot. 02 — Lucerne Old Town 🏘️ An area filled with colorful buildings, squares, fountains, shops, cafes, and narrow alleys. It’s best enjoyed at a leisurely pace. 03 — Lion Monument 🦁 A powerful lion sculpture carved into a rock face, commemorating the Swiss Guards who lost their lives in Paris in 1792. Entry is currently free. 04 — Lake Lucerne 💙 A vast lake set against a stunning mountain backdrop. You can stroll along the shore, relax, or take a boat trip to see the city and mountains from a different perspective. 05 — Jesuit Church ⛪ A Baroque-style church located on the banks of the Reuss River. The interior is beautifully decorated and stands as an architectural landmark. Entry to churches in Lucerne is generally free. 06 — Musegg Wall 🏰 The remains of Lucerne’s historic fortification system, perfect for history buffs and those seeking city views. It is typically open to the public from Easter to November 1st. 07 — Spreuer Bridge 🌉 Another historic wooden bridge in Lucerne featuring the "Dance of Death" painting series under its roof. It offers a quieter, very charming atmosphere compared to Chapel Bridge. 08 — Mount Pilatus 🏔️ If you have an extra day, I highly recommend visiting Pilatus. Standing at 2,128 meters above sea level, the views from the top are magnificent. You can reach it via cable car or the world's steepest cogwheel railway. 🗺️ The Ideal Lucerne Route Lucerne Station → Chapel Bridge → Old Town → Jesuit Church → Spreuer Bridge → Lion Monument → Musegg Wall → Lake Lucerne This self-guided walking route covers about 4.24 km and takes roughly 2 hours, not including time spent at cafes, museums, or taking photos. 💡 Travel Tips 🚆 Easy access from Zurich — Lucerne is well-connected to the Swiss rail network, and the station is right next to the lake, making it the perfect starting point. 👟 A walkable city — Most major sites are within walking distance, so there's no need for public transport all day. 🏔️ If you have 2 days — Spend one day exploring the city and another visiting a mountain like Pilatus or Rigi. 🌊 For the best photos — The lighting at Lake Lucerne and along the Reuss River is most beautiful during the morning or evening. ☕ Don't rush — Lucerne is a city best enjoyed slowly. Take time to stop at a cafe, admire the old buildings, and soak in the lake views rather than just checking off a list. ❤️ Summary Lucerne = Old Town + Lake + Mountains + Romantic Vibe If Zurich feels like a bustling metropolis that has it all, Lucerne feels like stepping right into a Swiss postcard. 🇨🇭🏔️

Your foodie cravings will thank you—and so will your wallet! 🍳 HOSTEL KITCHEN SLAY Make breakfast, pack your own lunch, cook dinner—repeat. Seriously, using that one hostel or guesthouse kitchen could be the difference between broke and bougie. Check out options in major cities like Zurich (Youth Hostel Zurich, Mutschellenstrasse 114, open 24/7). 💧 STAY HYDRATED FOR FREE Swiss tap water is top-tier! Bring a reusable water bottle and look for public fountains labeled “Trinkwasser” or “Eau potable.” Save cash *and* the planet! 🌎💦 🏔️ PICK YOUR PRICEY EXPERIENCES Don’t feel pressured to splurge on every mountain-top attraction. KhaiTravel17Engelberg-Titlis is a breathtaking alpine paradise that stole my heart! The panoramic views from the rotating cable car are absolutely unforgettable. From snow-covered peaks to thrilling glacier activities, every moment felt magical. The Titlis Cliff Walk offered an adrenaline rush with stunning scenery. Engelberg village, with its charming vibes and cozy cafés, added a peaceful touch to the adventure. Whether you're a nature lover or thrill-seeker, this destination is a must-visit.
Tania Akter (Sumi)Lake Lucerne is really nice. When the weather is good, you can see the snow-capped mountains. Unfortunately, we stayed there for three days, and the weather was good only when we arrived in the evening of the first day, so we didn't take advantage of it. The buildings by the lake, the Ferris wheel, and the Flower Bridge Water Tower are simply too beautiful to take in. The boat ride to Weggis is even more beautiful.
横竖是二温小迪most magnificent moment/artwork in public display. Come in late fall when the leaves change.
Prince of PusanThe Lion Monument is a must-see when traveling in Lucerne, Switzerland. In the old town of Lucerne, walk through the bustling streets and enter the simple iron gate. There is a clear lake and a huge cliff. In the center of the cliff, the Lion Monument built in 1821 is clearly visible. In the stone cave carved out in the middle of the 6-meter-high and 10-meter-wide monument, a dying lion lies weakly on the ground, with unyielding resentment in his eyes, sharp arrows piercing his back, and Swiss cross shields scattered around him. Above the lion statue is engraved Latin: Dedicated to the loyal and brave Switzerland; the text below records the moving history commemorated... At that time, Switzerland was a poor small country. Men forced to make a living went to various European countries as mercenaries, and they were loyal to their duties and brave. During the French Revolution in 1792, when the mob attacked the Tuileries Palace in Paris on August 10, all 786 Swiss mercenary officers and soldiers in the guard were killed in order to protect King Louis XVI and the Queen.
旅の径Chapel Bridge in the Rain: A Different Kind of Beauty 🌧️🌉Visiting Chapel Bridge in Lucerne on a rainy day wasn’t the fairytale scene I had imagined, but it had its own charm. The mist over the river, the soft raindrops on the wooden bridge, and the glow of the city lights reflecting on the wet cobblestones made it feel almost dreamlike. Even in the rain, this historic landmark had a quiet, timeless beauty—just with fewer tourists and a more peaceful vibe.#Lucerne #ChapelBridge #RainyDayAdv
tracy.dggAmazing view from the top. A 360° view of the snowcapped mountains in the distance and lakes below. The view from the train up was also amazing with the view of the lake and mountain at a really steep angle. Get the ferry from Lucerne and you've got a spectacular view all the way. There's another older train from the top that goes on route b through the valley round the back but there's not much to see as it's mostly through the forest.
LawrenzoMt. Pilatus is an Alpine peak overlooking the famous city of Lucerne in central Switzerland. The Mt. Pilatus Golden Tour is the only tour route in Switzerland that combines lake tours and mountain climbing in a circle using different means of transportation. Mt. Pilatus is 2,132 meters above sea level, 15 kilometers southwest of Lucerne, and is the highest Alpine peak on the shoreline around Lake Lucerne (Lake Lucerne).
我不是李亚鹏Swan Square is an open space along the lake in the city, very close to a large street intersection. There are many swans here, the lake is very blue, and there are fences in some places with Chinese words reminding people not to feed them.
fooler0809Great museum and most importantly very interactive. You can learn, admire, experience and watch so many things. If you want to learn everything and really like watching and reading a little, 3 hours is far from enough. We had about 4.5 hours and that wasn't enough.
clariminaThe Musegg City Wall has a long history. There are nine watchtowers on the wall, three of which can be climbed. Google Maps can accurately guide you to the watchtowers that can be visited. After climbing up, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the entire city.
