Kuching Airport is not very big, and the security check process is simple, so there’s no need to arrive too early. There are self-service check-in kiosks near Area D.The airport is about a dozen kilometers from the city center. A taxi costs just over 10. There is a bus, but it runs only once every two hours and takes a detour, so it’s better to use Grab. The airport has a few chain restaurants and coffee shops. A convenience store sells Kolok Mee for 5.9 per pack
Small airport but it has all you needed in an airport, from food and beverages to some last minute shopping. All gates are near, do not need to walk too far, but custom check point and luggage scanning might take a bit of time.
Kuching International Airport is a well-organized and efficient airport that serves as a gateway to Sarawak. The airport is spacious, clean, and easy to navigate, making it a comfortable experience for travelers. The check-in process is quick, and the staff are friendly and professional. There are a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants, offering both local and international options!
I am amazed by the Kuching airport as soon as we landed. There is a free bus shuttle takes you to most part the city and even the attraction and is FREE. Although the frequency is not very often but is managed to suit our planning of the attraction. The food is free and the national park is a must go to see. It is also very convenient to cross to other city by public bus certain place only coz you RM1
welcome to kuching international airport! the biggest airport in sarawak, located at our capital city. an international airport connected to 193 major cities and airlines.
Kuching International Airport~about to leave! Take AirAsia, fly to Kuala Lumpur and then transfer back to Beijing, with direct luggage delivery. After a simple security check, find the ticket and luggage tag printer near counter D. There is a Chinese interface, just enter the reservation number. After checking in the luggage, go to the AirAsia channel next to counter B, and get the exit stamp of Sarawak. Go through the security check again, it's very simple, water and lighters are allowed. It's not as strict as in China! There are shops and restaurants at the boarding gate. The flight is at 3 pm, and I arrived at the airport after 12 o'clock. It takes no more than 40 minutes to complete everything and reach the boarding gate. I am still carrying a lot of bags with children! So there is no need to arrive at the airport very early!
An airport with well-equipped, standard facilities. There are many options of car rental available as well. Has a small 'food court' space and Starbucks for cafe goers.
