Travel month: February (2023) Weather: Sunny with chances of 🌧 Hotel: Ibis Budget Singapore Mount Faber Transportation: Train and Cable Car 💡 Singapore tourist pass - Offers tourists unlimited travel using LRT, MRT and buses for 1, 2 or 3 days. I obtained mine at the VivoCity station located at the Harbourfront. 💡Cable Car Flexi Pass - Offers unlimited cable car rides for the day and 2 free activities to choose from. I suggest getting the Sentosa Bus Tour and Wings of Time. I got the deal at the Harbourfronttower two gondola lift station for $65 per adult. ✨️ Day 1 - I spent the whole day exploring the popular spots near the Marina Bay.The Flower Dome and Cloud Forest require an entrance fee but it is worth it! I also loved the free Supertree lightshows at 7:45pm and 8:45pm. 📍 Esplanade -Theatres on the bay 📍 Merlion park 📍 Gardens by the Bay: Cloud Forest, Flower Dome and Supertree Grove. ✨️Day 2 - I roamed the streets of Chinatown and tried some delicacies. After lunch, I visited Mount Faber Peak and Sentosa Island via Cable car. I'm glad I opt in for Sentosa Bus Tour and Wings of Time as part of Flexipass deal. I was able to explore the island with short amount of time. If you prefer to spend more time at the USS, you need to be early as it can be very busy. 📍Chinatown 📍Mount Faber Peak 📍Sentosa Island: Resorts World Sentosa - Universal Studios, Palawan Beach, Siloso Beach, Imbiah Lookout and Fort Siloso Skywalk. ✨️Day 3 - I was able to see Singapore from the 57th floor of Marina Bays Sands hotel. I also immerse myself to art and technology in a museum and then I joined a optional night tour around Singapore. It was an awesome experience! 📍Skypark Observation Deck 📍ArtScience Museum 📍Night tour by Big Bus Tours - meet up at Suntec city. We visited Marina Barrage, Lau Pa Sat and Gardens by the Bay, ending the night with a breathtaking Supertree light show. ✨️Day 4 - On the last day, I went back to Chinatown to buy souvenirs and checked out places I haven't visited before taking a cab to airport. I am so glad I managed to see this beautiful places before my flight. 📍Chinatown: Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. 📍 Little India 📍 HSBC Rain Vortex at the Jewel Changi Airport Terminal 1. The Marina Barrage isn't merely a dam; it also serves as a place for outdoor activities and offers a wonderful viewpoint that, in our opinion, shouldn't be missed. With its convenient walking distance from the center of Gardens by the Bay, it rewards visitors with a breathtaking view. From Marina Barrage, you can see the entirety of Gardens by the Bay against the backdrop of Marina Bay Sands—a truly stunning sight. We spent hours at Marina Barrage, enjoying that incredible view, and already miss the moments spent there.

Go up to level 2 and you can find the Sustainable Water Gallery which is open daily (except for Tuesdays) from 9am to 6pm. Do not come during lunch hours from 12 noon to 1pm. If you are first timer, you can join their free guided tour which is every hour and you can sign up when you are there. This is a free entry gallery and very suitable for children and there is no time limit for your visit. Bring your sunscreen and picnic mat, this is a nice spot for your weekend picnic in Marina Barrage. The wind conditions here are suitable for kite flying too. So bring everything you need and you can even rent a bicycle to cycle around this area. Don’t forget to bring your umbrella to shield away from the sunlight and prepare for rain. Free entry to the rooftop area and there is no need to make any reservations. You can just find a spot and lay down your picnic mat. There are three ways to go up to the rooftop, you can take the lift or climb the stairs or take the ramp up. Fun fact about Marina Barrage, it is not a recreational place but a reservoir designed to be a recreational space. It is also Singapore’s largest water catchment area and even designated to be a water sports facility. It is also a best spot for picnics and kite flying and even cycling around Marina Barrage. It is a free entry space and open 24 hours so you can even come and hang out at the public area at night too. When you are here at the Sustainable Water Gallery, you can participate in their challenges to earn game points. It is an interactive gallery and divided into six zones to learn about sustainability in Singapore. You can learn about Climate Change, Clean Water, Garden Oasis, Future City, Waste Disposal and what can you do as a citizen. I like the Future City zone to learn about smart technology and how can we transfer energy to use cleaner energy.
