The museum is south of Am, a little distance from the central train station. Very close to the National Art Museum, the building itself is quite artistic. Renting a guide for adults is about 3 euros. If you don't rent a guide, you can go around and see the most famous works for about an hour.

Book the tickets in advance. Absolutely wonderful museum, full of Van Gogh's Masterpieces. It's extremely busy but there are enough spaces to admire the work.Tickets can't be bought on the day so I suggest buying online. Excellent gift shop.

i love everything van gogh! this was particularly special for me seeing van gogh's works on display. you get to know the artist himself, his life, his family, even his early works, they all show his journey as an artist. must see when you are in amsterdam for sure, even if you are not an art lover.

Was supposed to be visiting today. Wasn’t allowed to keep suitcase at hotel nor were we allowed to bring it in to Van Gogh museum. Nearly 50 euros on tickets and not only are we not allowed in, also not allowed a refund. Disgusting customer service.

This is a great art museums. Pre booking of tickets highly advised. The buildings are huge and splendid to see. Audio tours are amazing to listen to stories while enjoying the art. There is a good cafe which serves fresh food. It also has big shop and a book store. Highly recommended!
