Hailar, a city on the grassland, is named after the Hailar River in the north of the city. It was first appeared in the history books or in the late Qin Dynasty. I still remember the illustrator version of the thirty-six gauges I read in my childhood. After the invasion of Russia and Japan, Hailar, reborn in the new China, became a grassland pearl that communicated with Northeast China, Russia and Mongolia. Generally, the first stop in Hulunbeier will choose to drop Hailar because there is convenient airport transportation.
