"The Phnom Penh Palace is a complex of historical and cultural values located in the heart of Phnom Penh. It was built by King Norodom from 1866 to 1870 and has been around for more than a century. The palace consists of a group of golden roofs, yellow walls surrounded by buildings, beautifully shaped and magnificent. The complex is full of traditional Khmer architectural styles and religious colors, including more than 20 palaces of the size of Chaya Palace, Golden Palace, Silver Palace, Dance Palace, Treasure Palace, and more, each with its own special architectural style and historical background. In the center of the palace, there is a reading station, which is where the king conducts military inspections. There is a gate in the center of the east wall of the palace, which is the entrance to the palace. Visitors can enter the palace through this gate and visit the historic complex. In addition, the palace's interior garden is also very neat and beautiful, a good place to relax and rest. Around the palace, there are many other attractions and cuisines, such as the National Museum of Cambodia and the Tashan Temple, which provide visitors with more cultural and historical learning and experience. Overall, the Phnom Penh Palace is a place worth visiting, where you can feel Cambodia’s history and culture, admire beautiful architecture and beautiful gardens."

Highlights: One of the busiest markets in Phnom Penh, known as "Phnom Penh's Living Art Museum". The market was designed and built by a French architect. The cross-shaped dome is resplendent and stretches out radially. The interior of the building has no beams and no columns, and it extends in all directions. It is constructed entirely by the interaction of building materials, and the structure is very novel and peculiar. The market has a wide variety of goods, ranging from handicrafts, daily necessities to fresh food. Seafood, vegetables, fruits and other stalls are almost all around the market, and the interior is divided into small stalls by area. Tourists often visit stalls such as handicrafts, jewelry and jade, tourist souvenirs, Buddha statues, second-hand or pirated books, and postcards. They will come to buy clothing, small household appliances, daily necessities, etc. Electronic calculators, computers, photographic equipment and office furniture can also be bought here. In addition, it is also a paradise for foodies. There is a snack area in the market, where you can taste Cambodian specialty snacks while experiencing the life of the locals.

Highlights: The National Museum is Cambodia's famous museum of history and archaeology and contains many Khmer art collections. The museum building features a gabled roof, carved doors and Khmer ancient temple architecture, blending traditional Khmer architecture with French colonial style. There are tens of thousands of precious collections in the museum, spanning different historical periods, mainly including four types of exhibits: stoneware, bronze, porcelain and wood. There are also small collections of oil paintings, textiles, pictures and other archives. Enshrined at a small pavilion in the center of the museum is a small statue. It is surrounded by several small artificial lotus ponds, full of charm.

"Tuol Sleng is an absolute "must visit" if you are ever in Phnom Penh. $5 entrance fee. It's a testament to what happens when we allow politics and anger to overtake our humanity. Get there right at 8am when it opens to have the place to yourself - it's a very spooky feeling. Once the tour groups and school students start rolling in after 8:30, with the noise, running around etc. it loses some of its effect."

Highlights: The Phnom Penh Prison Museum is located in the south of Phnom Penh City, at the intersection of 113th Street and 350th Street. Originally a high school, it was used as a concentration camp for prisoners during the Khmer Rouge period, also called S-21 Prison. More than 17,000 intellectuals, civilians, women and children were imprisoned here, and countless people were tortured to death every day. Until the Hengshanlin regime invaded Phnom Penh in 1979, there were only 14 corpses and 7 survivors left in this concentration camp. Now it is open to the public as a museum, displaying various torture instruments, photos and historical materials, which are creepy and silently tell the tragic history. In addition, documentaries are broadcast every day at 10 am and 3 pm. The film mainly tells the true story of a pair of young lovers who were forced to separate under the historical background at that time and suffered persecution by the Khmer Rouge.

No.1 of Night Attraction in Phnom Penh
Highlights: This night market is located by the Tonle Sap River. It is mainly engaged in daily necessities and tourist souvenirs. There are many local people. It is a good place to spend time at night. The night market was rebuilt from a street garden. The original grass was changed to a cement tile floor, with an area of about 4,000 to 5,000 square meters, surrounded by iron pipe railings. There are two openings along the street, one goes in and the other goes out, and the entry and exit are fairly orderly. There are multiple rows of colored commercial sheds of uniform specifications, and there are a wide variety of commodities. There are clothing, shoes and hats, flowers, food, hand accessories, cosmetics, daily necessities, as well as a large number of stone carvings, bamboo and wood products, and Buddha statues with Khmer characteristics. Probably more popular with locals than foreigners. Foreign tourists come here to shop and remember to bargain hard, because the price is always raised.

Highlights: The Independence Monument was built to commemorate Cambodia's complete independence from French colonial rule on November 9, 1953. Located at the intersection of Norodom Avenue and Sihanoukville Avenue, in the center of Merdeka Square. The monument was designed by the famous Cambodian designer Van Moniwang. It was completed in March 1958. It is 37 meters high and has 7 floors. There are 100 seven-headed snake gods (the cultural symbol of Cambodia) on the monument. Bud-shaped, beautiful and spectacular. Every year on National Day, the King of Cambodia or the representative of the King will hold a grand celebration here, which is very memorable.

Highlights: Tashan is the birthplace of Phnom Penh, about 100 meters high, the top of the mountain is dedicated to the image of Mrs. "Ben" (that is, the English word penh of Phnom Penh), which is one of the symbols of Phnom Penh. Tashan Temple is located on the top of the mountain, about 30 meters high, with a very quiet environment. The temple is full of Khmer-style reliefs, majestic and magnificent. Climbing to the top of the mountain and climbing the tower can overlook the whole city. There is also a touching story about Tashan Temple. According to legend, in the 14th century, a woman named "Ben" picked up a Buddha statue that had drifted down the Mekong River due to flooding. She built the Buddha statue on a hill and built a temple to worship it. Gradually developed into a prosperous town. In the 15th century, the capital of the country was moved from Angkor to this place, and it was officially named "Bai Nang Ben", which means "Ben Madam's Mountain", and the local overseas Chinese called it "Phnom Penh".

"Lake Tonrisa, also known as Phnom Penh, is located in the west of Cambodia and is long-shaped in the heart of Cambodia. It is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. The lakeside plain is flat and broad, 500 km long and more than 110 km wide, northwest to southeast, across Cambodia, and the Mekong River crossing in Phnom Penh and Cambodia. It is like a huge green emerald, set on the Cambodian land, for the development and prosperity of the Khmer nation provides a solid resource guarantee, is the Cambodian people's "lake of life"."

Highlights: Located in the heart of Cambodia, the Tonle Sap River meets the Mekong River and is the passage between the Tonle Sap Lake and the Mekong River. At the same time, it is also the fourth largest source of freshwater fish in the world. There are more than 150 kinds of fish in the river, and the freshwater resources are very rich. The main reason for the abundance of freshwater resources is due to the unique phenomenon that the Tonle Sap River can "reverse the flow". In the rainy season from June to September every year, due to the melting of snow in the Himalayas, the water level of the Mekong River suddenly increases, causing water to flow into the Tonle Sap River from the Mekong River, reversing the flow of the Tonle Sap River; from October to May the following year , the river flows back to the Mekong River. Around the Tonle Sap River, there are famous scenic spots such as the Royal Palace of Phnom Penh and the National Museum. The scenery is beautiful, and it is very pleasant to walk or rest by the river. There are also various cafes, restaurants and bars on the banks of the river and north of the Royal Palace, where you can immerse yourself in a romantic colonial-style restaurant and enjoy a delicious Western-style meal. An exotic place to go.

"Silver Palace, also known as Yinge Temple, was built between 1892 and 1920. It was rebuilt in 1962 according to traditional Cambodian buildings. The floor was paved with 5,329 pieces of silver bricks weighing1.125 kilograms, a total of 5 tons. It is called Yinge Temple, plus hundreds of national treasure-level gold and silver treasures in the temple, so it is also called Jinyinge Temple. Because the temple is dedicated to the Jade Buddha Temple, also known as the Jade Buddha Temple. In the center of the temple, there is a Buddha statue made of 18k gold, weighing 90kg, with 9,584 diamonds on the Buddha's body, the largest one is set on the Buddha's chest, weighing 25 carats. This Buddha statue is built in memory of King Sissowa."

Highlights: The Silver Palace, also known as the Silver Pavilion Temple, is located in the Royal Palace of Phnom Penh. It is a holy place for the kings of the past dynasties to worship Buddha. It is named after the floor of the hall is inlaid with more than 5,000 silver bricks, with a total of 5 tons of silver pieces, which is magnificent. The Silver Temple is a wooden structure and was expanded by King Sihanouk in 1962. There are many precious cultural relics in the hall, showing the splendor and richness of Khmer culture. There are hundreds of gold and silver treasures in the temple. There is a Buddha statue made of 18K gold in the center of the temple, weighing 90 kilograms. The Buddha statue is inlaid with nearly 10,000 diamonds. It was built in memory of King Sisowath, which is quite gorgeous. In addition, there are also collections of jade Buddha carved from a whole piece of jadeite, gold inlaid murals more than 40 centimeters high, and gifts from foreign heads of state on display. Even during the turbulent period of the Khmer Rouge rule, when 60% of the collections in the Silver Temple were stolen or destroyed, what remains is still spectacular. The four walls outside the Silver Palace are painted with frescoes based on the story of Ramayana. They were painted around 1900 and are worth visiting. The objects placed around the outer walls fully reflect the exquisite Khmer art, including the exquisite masks used to perform classical dances and dozens of pure gold Buddha statues, which are exquisite and ingenious.
