Highlights: Longmai Hot Springs is a spa resort located in Xiaotangshan Town, Beijing. The spa's interior has been dressed in traditional Chinese Ming and Qing styles, with murals adorned from the Qing Dynasty, palace lanterns, and other decorations used to embellish, and emphasize the feeling and look of that era. Once inside the bedrooms, visitors will notice that they will be sleeping in the traditional Japanese-style "tatami" form, which is a type of mat made with rice straw, and is used as flooring in most Japanese homes. Below the floors, under the traditional tatami is a hot spring pipe. When laying down for the night, the steam from the pipe warms the floor, and allows the visitor to feel, as they are falling asleep - as if they'd never left the hot spring.
