Louguantai National Forest Park
Louguantai National Forest Park is located in Zhouzhi County. It is the place where Laozi wrote the "Tao Te Ching" and expounded the scriptures to his disciple Yin Xi, the commander of Hangu Pass. There are many Taoist temples in the surrounding area, creating a rich Taoist cultural atmosphere. The park also features vast bamboo forests, making it one of the few places in Northwest China where you can see bamboo. To distinguish it fromWest Louguan, where Laozi's tomb is located, locals also call this place "East Louguan." Take the Huanshan Tourism Line 1 fromXi'anand get off at the "Louguantai" station. You will first see Zongshenggong (which houses a ginkgo tree said to have been planted by Laozi himself) and the Baihua Rare Animal Park (which keeps various animals). Continue walking south to reach the scenic area entrance. Upon entering the scenic area, you are greeted by vast, lush green bamboo forests. As an experimental base for "transplanting southern bamboo to the north,"Louguantaiallows visitors in the Northwest to see bamboo that is typically abundant in the south. Walking up the steps, you will find a Taoist temple on the mountainside, which houses the platform where Laozi expounded the scriptures and taught his disciples. Continuing further up to Louguantai National Forest Park - Liandan Peak brings you to the highest peak of the scenic area. You can also ride a horse up the mountain. There are dedicated horse trails that are separate from the paths for pedestrians. The cost of horseback riding is segmented; the higher you go, the more expensive it gets. Heihe National Forest Park
Heihe National Forest Park is located in Zhouzhi County, Xi'an, in the hinterland of Qinling Mountains near the source of the Heihe River. The 108 National Highway runs through it and to get there is very convenient. There are four scenic areas in the park, hundreds of scenic spots, numerous trees and all kinds of beautiful scenery. There are rare wild animals such as giant pandas, golden monkeys and takins inhabiting the park. The Mount Taibai National Forest Park
The Mount Taibai National Forest Park is located on the northern slope of Mount Taibai, the main peak of the Qinling Mountains. Within the park, Baxian Terrace stands at an elevation of over 3,700 m, towering above all other peaks in the Qinling range. The dramatic vertical drop creates distinct layers of vegetation and climate zones as altitude increases—while the plains below swelter in midsummer heat, higher elevations bring a penetrating chill. In ancient times, the frigid summit retained snow even in June, earning "Taibai snow in June" a place among the eight scenic views of Guanzhong. Though snow in June is now rare, the alpine region still preserves Quaternary glacial relics such as cirque lakes and stone seas, offering a rare view of high-altitude landforms. Most 1-day tours turn back at "Sky circle earth square," which sits at an elevation of over 3,500 m on the main ridge of the Qinling Mountains—the watershed dividing China's north and south. Streams north of the ridge flow into the Yellow river, while those south feed the Yangtze river. On clear days, you can overlook rolling seas of clouds. The true summit ascent to Baxian Terrace begins here. A standard hiking itinerary to the peak takes approx. two days, starting from Sky circle earth square, passing Xiaowengong Temple and Dawengong Temple to reach the alpine cirque lake Daye Hai, then making the final push to the summit, with an overnight stay at Xiaowengong Temple. The Mount Taibai National Forest Park's remote areas feature complex terrain and wildlife including large predators. The large botanical garden at the foot of the Qinling Mountains has very few flowers in winter, and some areas are under maintenance or construction. It also closes earlier than usual. Spending time in the garden with elderly relatives to enjoy the sunshine is a nice alternative.

Mount Taibai boasts stunning scenery, especially breathtaking in autumn! The cable car queue is short, so you won't have to wait long. The cable car ride up the mountain offers expansive views, taking in the vibrant autumn colors of the surrounding mountains and forests. It's a great experience for children; they were excited throughout the ride and easily enjoyed the Qinling Mountains scenery. Highly recommended for families!

Fantastic afternoon exploring the pits of the Terracotta Warriors. It was so useful to have a flexible entrance time as we arrived at 2:30pm and found we had so much space to explore the rooms without being crowded. Highly recommend this plan to others.

The Buddha Light Avenue is the main landscape axis of the scenic area, and at the innermost part is the Relic Pagoda. The prices of food and cultural and tourism products within the scenic area are not expensive. The entire scenic area showcases the splendid history and culture of the Chinese nation.

The scenery is indeed beautiful, and cycling on the city wall is incredibly fun. However, the rental price is quite high; you pay for three hours of riding, but after only an hour of riding half a lap, you're already a bit tired, so the remaining two hours' worth of money is wasted. I recommend that those with good stamina start from Yongning Gate, as bicycles are not allowed through Yongning Gate. Starting from other gates will prevent you from completing a full loop.
