Taogong Cave is located in the Daluoyan Attraction, at the foot of Daluoyan Mountain. The cave is 56 meters high, 76 meters wide and 79 meters deep. It is the largest stone chamber in southern Zhejiang. "The light and dark in the cave change with the clouds. It is dark when the clouds return and bright when the clouds disperse." The cave is divided into two floors, upper and lower. There are three Guanyin Pavilions on the lower floor, and there is a lecture platform in front of the pavilion that can accommodate hundreds of people. There are nine-bay front halls, bell and drum towers, wing rooms and monk kitchens outside the cave. A 56-step stone staircase on the south side of the cave leads to the upper "roof terrace". Behind the roof terrace is the Hugong Hall, which enshrines the seated statue of Hugong the Great, and in front of it is the Wenchang Pavilion. Under the right side of the shrine of the Hugong Hall is a jar-shaped "Red Water Well", which never dries up or overflows all year round. There are two long caves on the rock wall on the south side of the cave, called Liumi Cave and Baiyu Cave. At night, the white stones on the cave wall are illuminated by lights and candles, which look like floating clouds or scales, with different shapes and colors from far and near. Water drips down the cliffs at the entrance of the cave and falls into the pool, just like "flowers scattered by a goddess". Taogong Cave is close to the mountain and faces the water. There is a huge stone in front of the cave, about 20 meters high, called "Dengxian Stone". 200 meters north of the cave, you can see three cliffs standing like a barrier, named "Three Lions Sleeping Together". There is a "Guest-welcoming Pine" on the top of the cliff. There are also scenic spots such as Liuluo Mountain, Baiyun Ridge, Longshan Cave, Chaotian Turtle, and Chishui Pavilion near Taogong Cave. Taogong Cave is praised by Taoists as "the twelfth blessed place in the world". During the Three Kingdoms period, Taoist Wang Xuanzhen practiced here; in the ninth year of Tianjian (510) of Emperor Wu of Liang in the Southern Dynasty, Tao Hongjing, known as the "Prime Minister in the Mountains", wrote the book "Zhen Gao" in seclusion here, so it is also called Zhengao Rock. The temples in the cave were first built in the seventh year of Xiantong (866) of Emperor Yizong of the Tang Dynasty, and were successively rebuilt in the Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are many incense here, and the incense period is from the beginning of August to September 9th of the lunar calendar every year.Yongjia · 17 km from downtown

The scenery was quite beautiful, and the ticket price of 210 for three people was already a bargain. However, the boatmen on the bamboo rafts tried to sell them extra money for a longer and more thrilling ride.

It's truly a hidden gem, a less-traveled gem. It has children's play facilities, a waterfall—and a rather spectacular one at that. There's also a boardwalk for fun climbing. The price isn't expensive, and you can easily spend a whole day there! Although it's called an academy, it's really just a park with a waterfall. It doesn't have much to do with studying. A perfect place to spend a day with kids!

Take a boat across the Oujiang River to reach this ancient island, known as the "Oujiang Penglai." The twin pagodas stand facing each other, silently witnessing the ebb and flow of the river, while the ancient temple's eaves hold the poetic beauty of time. Ancient trees reach for the sky, pavilions are scattered throughout the island, and stone paths wind through its gardens.

Although it was a cloudy day, it didn't detract from the beautiful scenery at all. Entering and exiting from the East Gate, we walked a loop that took about two hours, with people of all ages. After entering from the East Gate, we walked for over an hour before seeing options for boat tours or hiking. We chose the boat, which cost 5 yuan per person. If you choose to hike, the end point isn't far from where you disembark, both located on a grassy area. Finally, before exiting from the East Gate, you have to climb a small hill no more than 100 meters high, which was a bit tiring.

Taogong Cave is indeed just a cave, but it's quite unique due to its natural features. The release pond at the entrance is teeming with fish; I always wonder if the red field fish served in nearby farmhouses are made from these fish. And the Ascension Stone at the entrance is clearly no ordinary object.

The first impression of Linkeng is simply stunning. Compared to the commercialized water towns of Jiangnan, it feels more like a reclusive elder, quietly nestled deep in the mountains of Yongjia. The village is small, easily explored in an hour, but its charm lies in its simplicity. There are no crowds or noisy bars, only the daily work and authentic lives of the villagers. If you're looking for a place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of the city, Linkeng is the perfect choice.

The scenic spot is not big. The roads in the ancient village are mostly cobblestones and slabs. There are homestays and snacks in the village. If you have time, you can stay for a few more days to learn more about the ancient village culture. There are many dried bamboo shoots in the village, which will be more spectacular in autumn.

🌞 I'm in Wenzhou! With no plans, I just casually wandered around and stumbled upon the famous Wuma Street. It's a bit like the bustling Nanjing Road in Shanghai, but a bit more gentle and slower. 🏛️ The buildings lining the street are Baroque-style buildings from the Republican era. The sunlight dappled the facades, creating a beautiful, mottled effect. While walking, I came across the magnificent bronze statue of "Five Galloping Horses." It was truly breathtaking!✨ There's also the First Department Store and century-old shops—it's like you can smell the scent of bygone times. 📍 Address: Wuma Street, Lucheng District, Wenzhou (between Jiefang Street and Fuqian Street) ⏰ Hours: Open all day, feel free to stroll around. 🪶 Fun Fact: Wuma Street got its name from the fact that when Wang Xizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty traveled, the street was wide enough to accommodate five horses galloping side by side. Isn't that quite poetic? ⸻ 🐎 1️⃣ Five Galloping Horses Bronze Statue The bronze horses looked particularly imposing in the sunlight, and many people stopped to take photos. On a clear day, the light and shadows on the horses made them look like they were galloping, so dynamic! 🏮 2️⃣ Chan Street Archway The archway of the New Guoguang Building is easily recognizable from afar. Further in, you can see the Jingguang Pagoda on Songtai Mountain. I happened to be there during sunset, and the warm light was incredibly beautiful. 📸 🏛️ 3️⃣ Baroque Buildings Every corner offers a great photo opportunity. The Republican-era-style exterior walls glow golden in the sunlight during the day and warm in the light at night. Wherever you walk by, you'll feel like you've traveled back in time. 🎭 4️⃣ Ancient Theater The bluestone pavement, carved stone figures, and the archway across the street are all incredibly exquisite. The ancient stage and modern architecture juxtaposed side by side create a wonderful contrast, a truly Wenzhou-inspired experience. ⸻ 🚶‍♀ I didn't take the train~ I preferred to walk slowly, take photos, and enjoy snacks. No rush, no set route. Just let my feet take me wherever I want to go.💭
