Town of Spiez
Town of Spiez is situated on the southern shore of Lake Thun in the Bernese Highlands of Switzerland, nestled in a bay enclosed by two lush, wooded peninsulas. Vineyards on the hillsides stretch down to the lake, a medieval castle stands by the shore, and the Niesen peak on the opposite bank connects to the Bernese Alps. UNESCO - Bern Old Town
UNESCO - Bern Old Town is the historic heart of Bern, the capital of Switzerland. The entire district sits on a high plateau surrounded on three sides by the Aare River. Most of the early wooden houses here were destroyed by fire, after which they were rebuilt with sandstone. The continuous red-tiled roofs and sandstone buildings remain in use today, and the medieval street layout has largely remained unchanged. The main street is paved with cobblestones. Heading east along Justice Street, the ground floors of the old houses on both sides are connected by arcades that stretch for several km, housing watch shops, antique stores, bookstores, cafes, and restaurants. The Zytglogge astronomical clock mechanism at the western end is still in operation today. On the hour, the jester rings the bell, the bears parade in a circle, and the gilded figures strike the time—a scene that has been playing out for centuries as crowds look up from below the tower. Hohematte
Hohematte is an open lawn square in the center of Interlaken, serving as the town's green lung. Lion Monument
Lion Monument is a rock relief designed by Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen to commemorate the Swiss mercenaries who sacrificed their lives in 1792 during the defense of the Tuileries Palace in Paris. The relief is carved into a shallow niche in a rock face, depicting a lion pierced by a spear in its shoulder, lying painfully and helplessly on the ground, its face filled with the sorrow of death. Under the lion's right front paw are two shields, bearing the cross emblem symbolizing Switzerland and the fleur-de-lis emblem of the French royal family, respectively. Above the sculpture is the Latin inscription "HELVETIORUM FIDEI AC VIRTUTI", meaning "To the loyalty and bravery of the Swiss". There is a small pond in front of the sculpture, which reflects the relief and is a popular spot to view its reflection. The park where the sculpture is located has information boards that explain the historical background in German and English. There is a quiet area on the high ground of the park, offering an elevated view of the entire relief. Old Town
Old Town is situated along the banks of the Reuss. The cobblestone streets are lined with well-preserved medieval buildings, many of which feature colorful frescoes on their exterior walls depicting religious legends and scenes of daily life. These frescoed buildings can be found around the various squares throughout the Old Town. The Chapel Bridge, which spans the Reuss, is an iconic landmark of the Old Town. The last boat from Interlaken East Station to Lake Brienz was at 15:07, and when we went there, the boat had just left. The staff taught us to take the bus to Brienz, and then catch the boat at 16:40, and take the boat from Brienz back to Interlaken.
We bought a second-class Swiss pass, which allows free boat rides. There are not many seats in the second-class cabin, but there are more open-air seats. If you are afraid of the cold, you can get on the boat earlier. I sat in the restaurant at first and thought I had to consume, but after sitting for a while, I realized that there was no mandatory requirement.

Interlaken is definitely a holiday paradise. Overlooking the Jungfraujoch from Herweg Street is a great enjoyment in life and a must-visit place. I felt the idyllic life here, which was definitely worth the trip!

The town of Spiez on Lake Thun is an absolutely charming place to visit. It is backed by mountains, faces vineyards and, most magnificently, is crowned by a splendid castle. The Niederhorn mountain range above the lake stretches all the way to the Bernese Alps, creating a magnificent panorama. The mild climate and bright sunshine make it an ideal starting point for exploring the many famous tourist attractions in the Bernese Oberland or Valais.
Spiez Castle is a highlight here, as is the castle gardens. From the castle, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding area. Likewise, a detour to the castle church is worthwhile.
There are many hiking and cycling trails around Spiez. In addition, the neighboring cities of Thun and Interlaken are also great for day trips. Last but not least, the Bernese Oberland is easily accessible from Spiez.

Looking down from the sky with a paraglider, the green grass of Holheimat looks like a piece of emerald, inlaid in the center of Interlaken.
Be sure to sit on the benches in the green space. There are rows of benches on the side of the Holheimat green space close to Herweg Street. Sitting leisurely on the chair, looking far away, the Jungfrau is surrounded by clouds and mist under the blue sky and white clouds, appearing and disappearing from time to time, beautiful and spectacular; looking closely, the sky is full of umbrellas, and tourists who are sightseeing by paragliders scream and land in the middle of the grass, returning home in high spirits.
Be sure to take a walk around the green space. The west side of the green space is a tree-lined corridor, the east side is Interlaken Castle and Japanese manor, and the north and south sides are luxurious hotels, elegant houses and various shops. Take a walk around, you can appreciate the beautiful scenery and experience the local customs more deeply.

The cities in Switzerland are not big and the environment is very beautiful. The old town is surrounded by mountains and water, with snow-capped mountains in the distance.
