Sommarøyis a small fishing island in Northern Norway, located within the Arctic Circle. It sits at the mouth of a fjord west of Tromso, and you can reach the island by driving about 1 hour from downtown Tromso and crossing the bridge. The island is famous for its unique relationship with time: from mid-May to late July, it experiences the polar day, where the sun does not set for over 2 months; from late November to mid-January of the following year, the sun barely rises at all. The island's natural scenery is equally stunning: fine white sand beaches paired with clear, turquoise waters have led many travelers to call it the "Caribbean of the North." Standing on the beach, you can also look out at the sharp Håja island in the sea; it is said that the design of the Arctic Cathedral in Tromso was inspired by it. Summer is perfect for strolling on the beach under the midnight sun or going kayaking; in winter, the low light pollution makes it a great place to view the aurora around Tromso.Sommaroy · 1.5 km from downtown

Arctic Cathedralis located in Tromso, Norway, situated on the mainland side across the strait from the city center. Completed in 1965, it was designed by architect Jan Inge Hovig. The roof on both sides is composed of multiple layers of aluminum-coated concrete panels, with a mountain-like silhouette that rises from the entrance toward the altar. I've just visited this incredible place during the polar night, and even been with a light light, it was an amazing visit. The small beaches invite you to eat something sitting on the sand while watching the Norwegian Sea.At the village you can find a small supermarket and an electric car charging station.

I went there in autumn. There is no polar day or polar night. The mountains and rivers are beautiful and the air is fresh. It is a good place to relax and unwind. I stayed there for a week. I would recommend everyone who is tired from work to stay in Norway for a week. I didn't live in the city center, but Tromso is so small. The city center, suburbs and airport are all about 15 minutes away by bus. Live slowly and play slowly. In the past, you could see the northern lights as long as it was sunny. Don't get too tired. It is really a good place to absorb energy. If you live by the sea, you will be in a good mood as soon as you open the window every day. Anyway, it is worth a visit.

Where is the northernmost Catholic church in the world? It's Tromso in Norway. If you don't drive to the church, you can take the bus, but we choose to walk slowly, from the city center harbor, walk along the seaside, then walk up the bridge and go straight to see the church. The church is actually not big, because it was not open when I went, the front is glass, you can look inside, nothing special, then walked around the church, the back is stained glass windows, with white snow, very beautiful.

Winter in Tromsø is really beautiful. The snowy daytime brings a bit of bleakness, with fallen trees neatly lined up on both sides of the road. There are not many pedestrians on the road, and seabirds occasionally fly by with squawks, making people feel so peaceful and comfortable. This is also another way to relax on vacation.

The panoramic cinema is very impressive, taking you to appreciate the magnificent scenery of the Arctic. The aquarium is not very big, there are not many animals, and a few sea lions are particularly naughty and keep playing. Since you are here, you should take a look!

Pretty, romantic bridge that connects the two parts of the town. An iconic structure of Tromsø. When night falls, it’s beautiful with surrounding buildings all lit.
