The Garonne River flows through the urban area of Toulouse from south to north. The scenery on both sides of the river is beautiful. The historic New Bridge and the Saint-Pierre Bridge are all across the river. It is especially beautiful at night against the backdrop of landscape lights. The Garonne River is one of the five major rivers in France. It originates in the Spanish Pyrenees and flows into the Atlantic Ocean along the Gironde estuary in northern Bordeaux, France.Toulouse · 749m from downtown

Basilique Saint-Sernin de Toulouse is one of the largest existing Romanesque churches in the world and the largest rectangular church in Europe. The church was built between 1080–1120. It was constructed on the foundation of a 4th-century basilica-style church and is named after Saint Sernin, a Christian martyr who was tied to a bull and dragged to his death in 250 AD for refusing to worship idols. Basilique Saint-Sernin de Toulouse features classic architecture. The two niches and the tympanum above the main entrance, along with 800 carved capitals, depict the Ascension of Jesus Christ, the Christian Savior. A particularly distinctive feature is its five-story, 64m-high bell tower that soars into the sky; visitors to the church are invariably amazed by the masterful craftsmanship of the past.Toulouse · 451m from downtown

Gothic Quarter

Gothic Quarter is the heart of Barcelona's old city and the birthplace of the city. Around the turn of the millennium, the Romans established the settlement of Barcino here; remnants of the Roman square city walls can still be identified on many street corners, while many buildings were constructed in the Middle Ages, forming the profound backdrop of this area. Strolling through it, the streets are intricately intertwined, and small squares and narrow alleys layer to create a deep medieval atmosphere. Several iconic squares in the area each have their own unique features. Plaça de Sant Jaume is the political center of Barcelona, with the City Hall (Casa de la Ciutat / Ayuntamiento) and the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya standing on either side. King's Square concentrates the Palau Reial Major, the Roman wall ruins, and the City History Museum; the museum's basement also preserves walkable ancient Roman street ruins. Placa Reial is famous for its symmetrical arcades and palm trees. The Cathedral of Barcelona is a representative work of Gothic architecture, with white geese kept in its inner courtyard, a legend related to the city's patron saint, Saint Eulalia. Pont del Bisbe is a neo-Gothic style covered bridge, with a skull and dagger decoration hidden beneath the arch. Hidden in a courtyard behind the cathedral, the Temple of Augustus ruins, with several Roman stone columns dating back over 2,000 years, are one of the important ancient Roman stone remains in Barcelona.Spain · Barcelona

There are many bridges on the Canon River in Toulouse. Although it is called the New Bridge, it actually has a history of 500 years. It was built in 1544 and completed in 1632. It is the oldest bridge in Toulouse. From a distance, it has 7 arches and is very beautiful.
