Yalu River Rafting is a well-established rafting destination. The surrounding mountain roads are well-maintained, and paved roads connect the surrounding rural guesthouses to the villages. Food delivery is also readily available. There are virtually no narrow roads, although occasional road construction may occur. The rafting trip itself is quite long, and it took a while to drive there. The rafts are excellent, with holes in the bottom that automatically drain excess water, eliminating the need for manual scooping. However, each obstacle is very long and fast-paced, with small pools in between. It feels like being forcibly pushed along at high speed, with the goal of getting out as quickly as possible. Although there are many stalls, the prices are high and the food is not good; some even sell cigarettes by the stick. The vendors work quite hard, standing in the water to solicit customers. If you take a break to eat or drink, the showers will be packed with people when you finally get out. During peak hours around 3 PM, you can wait up to an hour for a single cubicle. Bring all your own shower supplies and dry clothes; if possible, bring a hairdryer, as there are also long queues for them. The parking lot is huge, with many parking lots, and walking around can be quite tiring. Don't believe them when they say to take clothes from your car; the car is already unbearably hot after being exposed to the sun. The lockers are closer to the shower area, but they are often full and you can't get one. The lockers furthest from the shower area have a better chance of getting one. I suggest you shower early in the morning.
