National Museum of Tajikistan ..was established on August 12, 1934, and is located in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. It was renamed to its current name on November 27, 1999. In March 2013, the new building held its opening ceremony. The new building features 22 exhibition halls of various sizes, with exhibits covering natural history, ancient history, medieval history, modern history, and fine arts. When it was established in 1934, the collection consisted of only 530 items; by the early 21st century, theNational Museum of Tajikistan ..collection had exceeded 50,000 items.

Hisor Fortress

The ancient city of Gisar, located about 26 kilometers west of Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, is actually an ancient building complex.
