After the visit, I realized that not only Shihezi, but also many people in the vast northern Xinjiang have dedicated their youth to the Gobi Desert like Shihezi. Ai Qing Poetry Museum is located in Shihezi City. It was planned and invested in 1994 and officially completed in November 1998. It is the only poetry museum in the country named after Ai Qing himself to commemorate the unforgettable 15 years that Ai Qing spent in Shihezi Reclamation Area.
