Things to do in Seongnam

Visiting Lotte World Adventure at night with friends completely changes the vibe, trading daytime family crowds for glowinglights and a neon-lit backdrop of the Seokchon Lake area. Due to how late we went, 20:00, it was harder to get on rides. There were few rides and activities open, and what was open had longer wait times (at least an hour). So, if you would like to enjoy the rides but still get the vibe of the night, I would suggest arriving at 17:00 and staying until close (22:00). All preference based, still had a fun experience and it wasn’t my first time or last time going. It is located within the mall, so even if you happen to have a change of heart, there’s plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Enjoy!!

When I visited Seoul Sky, I saw a spectacular panoramic view of Seoul. I felt that the ticket price to ride the elevator was well worth the visit. During our visit, they had the Star Wars attraction on the 117th floor and we had a great time there. Thankfully it was a nice clear day when we visited so we managed to get beautiful views. I recommend visiting during off peak or on weekdays so that it is not so crowded and that you can take nice photos at the observation decks. The staff were friendly and efficient. It was a pleasant experience overall.

It's windy and a bit chilly on Namsan Mountain, so be sure to dress warmly if you go up in the evening in October. The scenery is fantastic; on a clear day, you can get a clear view of the entire city of Seoul. They have beer and drinks on-site, and you can sit down and enjoy the view. Be sure to try the restrooms!

Entry ticket is great value for the money. The Q pass is really efficient especially for this ride where the queue was very long but with the Q pass, we didn’t wait at all. The rest of the park is good for price, pandas are cute but limited time to see them, especially the 2nd panda house

In the height of summer, Seoul Tower is more tiring with its uphill climb, but less of a hassle waiting for the cable car. It's a must-see attraction for first-time visitors. You can choose whether or not to go up the tower at your own expense; it's similar to the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai. The all-glass bathrooms inside the tower are a major highlight! 😂

Amazing value! Seoul Land offers the romance of this summer. It has water rides, thrilling attractions, shows, and fireworks on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. The staff are all very friendly. A few rides have a separate fee, but it's not expensive. Most rides don't require a second payment. The log flume is a must-ride! The flying insect ride is also a must-ride! It's very convenient to get there from downtown Seoul by taxi, which goes directly to the parking lot at the entrance.

Beautiful and definitely worth seeing if you are already visiting COEX or Gangnam. The huge bookshelves and open space are genuinely impressive in person, and entrance is completely free. 📚✨However, I wouldn’t come across Seoul just for the library. It gets very crowded, with many visitors mainly taking photos, so it doesn’t really feel like a quiet traditional library. Finding a seat can also be difficult during busy hours.Still, it’s a unique place to walk around, take photos, browse some books or magazines, have a coffee, or simply take a break while shopping. I especially liked that it feels like a public cultural space rather than just another attraction inside a mall. Worth a stop, but keep your expectations realistic!

It's a very nice place, and I like that Koreans preserve their history, preserve their houses, and live in them. I recommend not lingering on the main street, but rather, going deeper into the area where you'll find museums and more unique, less touristy places you can stop in and stroll around. But be polite and don't make noise, because that's where people live.
