The underground city in Seattle mainly originated from the flush toilet invented in 1881. Since every household used a flush toilet, the sewage was directly discharged into the bay. When the tide was low, the drainage was very smooth, and the sewage went directly into the sea. But when the tide is high, sea water pours back into the toilet. At this time, the twice-a-day toilet eruption cycle is very troublesome for Seattleites. But a mega-fire unexpectedly solved the problem, but also razed Seattle to the ground. When people started rebuilding the city, they took into account the problem of sea water intrusion. Therefore, when the city was built, a large area on the seaside was filled up to prevent the sea water from pouring back from the toilet, so there was a dungeon. The underground city has long been abandoned, but the local government has redeveloped it in order to protect the cultural relics. Today's underground city has become a famous attraction in Seattle for tourists to visit and learn about life in those days. The underground city is located in Pioneer Square, and you need to buy a ticket to join the group to visit. Through the guided tour into the dark underground city, you can see some historical objects and real scenes left over 100 years ago. The entire visit process takes about 75 minutes. Before visiting, come to the visiting hall. The layout of this hall restores the scene of a dungeon bar. There are no windows around, and the distressed decoration will bring your sight into the 19th century. The entrance to the dungeon is on an inconspicuous stair off the street, follow the guide down the stairs. Under the guidance of the guide, unlock the door to enter the dungeon. When you come to the underground city, you can see the sidewalks of the year. Listening to the vivid explanation of the tour guide, you can imagine the life of Seattle people in those days. Walking and watching, in the underground city, looking up, you can still see the bright windows on the sidewalk. Follow the guide, and then you can see the bars of the dungeon. You can also see the dungeon featuring photos of Seattle from the 19th century. And the flush toilets that were flooded by sea water every day in the underground city.Seattle · 445m from downtown

Pike Place Fish Market is a historic farmers market in the United States. It not only offers a variety of local fresh produce and seafood but also attracts countless artisans and street performers to perform here. 1. Fish throwing performance At fixed times every day, there is a fish throwing performance at the seafood stall near the market entrance, and you might also encounter impromptu performances. The guys toss large fish weighing over ten pounds back and forth, with loud and cheerful shouts, creating a lively atmosphere. 2. Starbucks Located at 1912 Pike Place Fish Market, the original Starbucks was built in 1971 and is a must-visit place in Seattle for Starbucks coffee lovers from all over the world. Because Starbucks originally sold coffee beans, the store is decorated like a warehouse and has no tables or chairs for resting. However, many people still come here, willing to stand and taste, just to order a cup of coffee and try to find the original taste of Starbucks coffee. 3. The Gum Wall This is a rather quirky attraction, covered in chewing gum of various colors. It is a bit gross, but you can also see many creative works.Seattle · 699m from downtown

EMP's bright colors and appearance composed of 3000 stainless steel sheets and aluminum sheets show the strength and flowing beauty of music, but its eclectic expression is not optimistic, ranking third in the world's most ugly buildings on Forbes list . A large part of the works in the indoor exhibition area is to pay tribute to local music icons such as Jimi Hendrix, telling the spirit of rock and roll and the development history of the entire American pop music. The application of high technology can even experience the charm of music in person. 1. Introduction of the exhibition area There are coffee shops and record shops on the 1st floor. The second floor showcases the birth and history of American pop music, as well as an exhibition of Jimi Hendrix's work. The experience center on the 3rd floor is a very popular place, where you can try playing guitar, drums, keyboards, DJ turntables, and create your own songs. Another showcase focuses on the history of the guitar from the early 1930s, including earlier demonstrations of electric guitars. 2. Musical instrument sculpture "ifVIwasXI" As soon as you enter the museum, you can see the giant musical instrument sculpture "ifVIwasXI". Before you see it, you may not be able to imagine that the stack of countless musical instruments stretches to the top, and what kind of excitement bursts out.Seattle · 2.1 km from downtown

This underground square is also a huge structure. Here you can appreciate many interesting excavation projects. Some of the living facilities in the underground city are also quite simple. To appreciate them here, you need to follow the marked routes.

amazingly seafood and fun vibe for sure! reminds me of San Francisco; the best part was watching the buskers! I met a woman who played the drums to Dr. Feel good by Motley Crü and was awesome! I had oyster shooters with 4 of the seafoods mongers, while buying delicious smoked Salmon. Walking down the strip, I ran into a place that sold warm chocolate chip cookies with flaky sea salt on top. delicious! Finally, there was a Turkish ran shop and the woman gave me excellent advice on gifts and had the best Baklava I've ever eaten.

To be honest, I didn't understand pop culture at all before I got here. What was in my mind is that pop culture equals to pop songs. But coming to this place has totally changed my mind.MoPoP is a BIG musuem. It has 3 levels of different sections waiting for you to explore. My favorite part in MoPoP was the game room. My friend and I spent 1 hour playing games in there.Besides, you get to see a lot of costumes and props used in the movies. If you're a Harry Potter fan, you must check out this place!

Seattle Gas Works Park The Seattle Gas Works Park is located on the north side of the United Nations Lake, facing downtown Seattle. It is the best place to overlook the beautiful skyline of the central area of Seattle. It allows people to experience the beauty brought by distance and understand why Seattle is called the "Emerald City"! This was originally a large gas petrochemical plant, a plant that extracts fuel and gas from coal and oil. For decades, nearby residents have had to endure the huge damage to the environment caused by the large amount of pollutants emitted by the factory. After the factory was shut down and abandoned, the Seattle government attached great importance to environmental protection and decided to transform it into a city central park. Richard Hager's design team boldly used the existing resources of the base and designed based on the existing elements, retaining some industrial equipment, repairing the polluted land, and building it into a public entertainment park.
