The Ranapur Temple was built in 1439 and has a history of nearly 580 years. It was funded by a Jain merchant named Dharna Shah. The then King Rana Kumbha granted him a piece of land in the valley of the Aravalli Mountains to build a temple, on the condition that the temple would be named after the emperor after it was built. So the merchant invited the best craftsmen in India and spent 60 years to build this miraculous Jain temple.

Kumbhalgarh Fort is a massive 15th-century hill fort in the Aravalli Range, built by Rana Kumbha of Mewar. It’s famous for its 36-km-long defensive wall—often called India’s “Great Wall”—and for being the birthplace of Maharana Pratap. The fort complex holds palaces, temples, stepwells, and sweeping views of the surrounding forests. Why it stands outUNESCO World Heritage Site (part of the Hill Forts of Rajasthan)Impressive light-and-sound show at nightGateway to wildlife around Kumbhalgarh SanctuaryBest visited October–March for cooler weather and clear vistas.
