Hulun Buir Prairie is located in the west of Hulun Buir City, named after Hulun Lake and Bell Lake on the prairie. Every year from June to September is the tourist season of Hulunbuir Prairie, and self-driving is very suitable for holidays. Especially in July and August, the prairie is lush, suitable for horse riding, fishing, or boating on Hulun Lake in the west. There are performances such as wrestling, archery, horse set-up and singing and dancing bonfire parties in scenic spots such as Huhe Nuoer Grassland and Bayan Hushuo Grassland. You can also stay in yurts and experience grassland life. On the first few days of the fourth day of the sixth lunar month, you can also catch up with the grand Naadam Conference and experience the rich traditions on the grassland. When you come to Manzhouli in the northwest corner of the prairie, you can visit the Matryoshka Square. You can walk on Zhongsujin Street at night. The Russian neon lights on both sides make you feel like you are on the streets of Moscow. The weather in Hulunbuir was cold earlier, and the grass and leaves were turning yellow at the end of August. In the middle and late September, it is a good time to go to the forest area in the east of the prairie to see the red and yellow leaves. You can not only see the magnificent river valley in the Asian wetland - Genhe Wetland, but also go to the southern part of the prairie to enjoy the red and yellow leaves. The colorful forest colors of Huaerji Forest Park. The mutton produced in the Hulunbuir prairie is delicious and has no mutton taste, so you must try it. In Manzhouli, Labu Dalin, and Hailar, there are restaurants where you can eat mutton and barbecue, including authentic hand-baked meat, mutton, and fried mutton tails. If there are few people, you might as well ask for a roast leg of lamb. If there are many people, you can also taste the "whole sheep feast".Old Barag Banner · 42.7 km from downtown

The predecessor of Hulunbuir Ancient City was Hulunbuir City, built during the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty. It was completed in 1734, and soldiers from the Solon, Barga, and other tribes were once stationed here. With the influx of merchants from within the Great Wall, it gradually developed into a major commercial hub on the grassland. The original city structures no longer exist. The ancient city seen today was reconstructed in 2008 in the area of the original site in Hailar, featuring primarily Qing Dynasty architectural styles. The reconstructed North Gate, Middle Gate, Eight Major Trading Firms, and the Deputy Lieutenant-General's Yamen, along with character statues and openwork sculptures, showcase the architectural layout of the town at that time. The Deputy Lieutenant-General's Yamen is an important building in the ancient city, housing historical exhibits that introduce the administrative setup and military system of that time. The Eight Major Trading Firms reflect the history of merchants from Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong, and other regions coming to the grassland to do business during the Qing Dynasty. Today, the main district retains a relatively complete antique streetscape, with traditional buildings and historical exhibition spaces distributed along the street, allowing visitors to learn about the development history of Hulunbuir City while touring the buildings.Hulunbuir · 25.5 km from Old Barag Banner

The Central Bridge is located on the prosperous Shengli Street in Hailar. Although it is not a famous tourist attraction, there are two bell tower-style buildings on both sides of the bridge, and two rows of European-style bridge lights on the bridge, which make the bridge look exotic, especially under the lights at night. The Central Bridge spans the Yimin River and is about 350 meters long. There are special pedestrian walkways on both sides of the bridge. For photography enthusiasts, the Central Bridge is not only a good place to take night photos, but also a place to take pictures of the charming Yimin River. Aershan National Forest Park

Aershan National Forest Park is hidden deep in the forested mountains of the southwestern Greater Khingan Range, known for its volcanic landforms, lakes, and forests. Ancient volcanic eruptions left behind a series of geological views here: craters filled with water to form lakes, lava-blocked river channels creating dammed lakes, vast stone beaches paved with black basalt, and deep canyons carved by fractured lava belts. The Halaha River meanders through the park, with over 80% of its area covered by forests dominated by Daurian larch and birch trees. Shitanglin is a highly recognizable stop: on the black lava beach with almost no soil, larch trees root into rock crevices, and moss and lichens cover the stone surface, like walking into a natural volcanic geological museum. Tuofengling Heavenly Lake requires climbing a flight of stairs along a boardwalk; reaching the summit allows you to overlook this crater lake with a water surface elevation of nearly 1300 m, its overall outline resembling a crouching camel. Arxan Heavenly Lake, on the other hand, has no visible rivers flowing in or out, and its water level shows no obvious fluctuations throughout the year. The Halaha River rushes through the chaotic rocks of Santan Gorge, connecting three deep pools: Woniu Pool, Hushi Pool, and Yuexin Pool. Azalea Lake is named for the Xing'an azaleas that bloom along its shores in mid-to-late May each year; if you catch it while the lingering snow has not yet melted, the red flowers against the white snow offer a unique scene. The Chai River originates in the Grand Canyon area within the park, where black volcanic rocks are scattered across the valley floor; the stream winds through them, and you can walk down the wooden boardwalk in the forest to take a closer look. Seasonally, from mid to late September, birch trees and larches gradually turn golden, creating the most vibrant colors in the attraction. In winter, the unfrozen section of the Halaha River remains ice-free, with frost-covered trees lining its banks and herds of cattle often drinking from the river at dawn. The attractions are distributed along a single road with driving distances between them, making self-drive or private charter tours more convenient. Both Tianchi Lake and Tuofengling Tianchi require climbing steps, so comfortable shoes are recommended. The forest area experiences significant temperature variations between morning and evening, so bringing a jacket is advisable even during summer and fall visits.China · Arxan

Several months have passed, and now I'm in Xinjiang. I've visited some more scenic spots, but when I think back to the Morigele Grassland in Hulunbuir, the winding, meandering river, the different viewpoints, the smooth scenic roads, and the scenery along the way are all unforgettable!

The Morigele River, described by Lao She as the "Number One Meandering River Under Heaven," is well worth a visit. It's divided into a south route and a north route. The south route is in better condition but requires taking a sightseeing bus. The third stop offers the best scenery, especially on a clear day. The Morigele River resembles a blue ribbon, winding its way across the vast grassland—it's truly beautiful.

📍Detailed address: Hulunbuir Tianxia Grassland Scenic Area is located on the banks of the Morigele River, which is known as "China's No. 1 Qushui". It takes about an hour and a half to drive north from Hailar. 🌟Highlights: Tianxia Grassland Scenic Area focuses on Mongolian and Yuan Dynasty culture, integrating the characteristics of nomadic peoples and classic Qushui scenes. As soon as you enter the gate of the scenic area, you can see the sculpture of Genghis Khan and the map of the Eurasian countries he conquered. Walking along the wide wooden plank road, you can see some statues of people from the Mongolian and Yuan Dynasty and the restored statues of unearthed cultural relics. Going further in, you can see the prayer wheel and the largest Aobao. The Aobao is piled up layer by layer with long poles inserted at the top and the scripture cloth strips tied. It is particularly beautiful against the blue sky and white clouds. ❤Recommendation reason: When you walk into the scenic area, you can see the Qushui from a high place, with blue sky and white clouds in the distance and green grass in the near distance. You can take pictures at will. There are also container accommodation and yurts in the scenic area, and friends can also experience the feeling of staying on the grassland. 📌Tips: The scenic area is lush with vegetation and there are many flying insects. Try to wear long clothes and long pants and bring some mosquito repellent spray. The scenic area is about three or four kilometers away, so it is recommended that you wear sports shoes.

The museum lets you enter with your ID card, which is convenient! There's also a free luggage storage room on the first floor, which is very convenient. The exhibition hall has three floors, and it offers a glimpse into the history and cultural changes of Inner Mongolia over time. A thorough tour will take you about three hours. I highly recommend this museum.

The Central Bridge is very beautiful in the evening. We started from the Imin River National Park and walked along the Imin River. At the end of the walk, we saw the Central Bridge. The scenery was very beautiful. The Central Bridge was very western. In fact, the locals prefer the Hasar Bridge.

Hulunbuir National Museum is located in the city center. It was the original city museum. Now the city history museum has moved to a new location. At present, the exhibition hall upstairs is not open. I have been to this museum before. The exhibition hall displays the lifestyles and ethnic characteristics of the various ethnic groups in Hulunbuir. The architecture of Hulunbuir National Museum is quite beautiful. It is also nice to see the old building without opening the exhibition hall.
