Devon Falls, located 17km west of Nuwara Eliya, is named after Devon, a British coffee grower (whose coffee farm is nearby). The waterfall is 97 meters high and 1140 meters above sea level, making it the 19th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. The white water swoops down from the high cliff, and it will encounter a small flat land on the way, but it still cannot stop the powerful momentum of the waterfall. Baker Falls is not very impressive to those of us who have seen Huangguoshu Falls, but it is also a very famous scenic spot in the local area. We visited it as a stop on the itinerary, which was okay.
