Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

4.5/5

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is located in the temperate rainforest of North Vancouver, and its centerpiece is a pedestrian suspension bridge spanning the Capilano River canyon. The bridge is approximately 137 m long and hangs about 70 m above the river. It was originally built in 1889 by Scottish civil engineer George Grant Mackay using hemp rope and cedar planks, and after several reinforcements and renovations, it is now supported by a steel cable structure. Stepping onto the bridge, with the rushing river and lush canyon vegetation below, the bridge sways gently in the wind; as you cross, you can take in the full view of the river valley and gaze at the towering ancient trees on both banks. Beyond the bridge itself, the park offers two distinctive experiences. Treetops Adventure is made up of a series of small suspension bridges suspended among the treetops dozens of meters above the ground, letting visitors move through the upper rainforest from a squirrel's-eye view. The Cliffwalk extends outward along a granite cliff, clinging to the rock face with a cantilevered structure; some sections use open grating floors, with the deep canyon directly below, creating a strong sense of thrill. The park also features an Indigenous cultural display area, Kia'palano, where totem poles created by First Nations carvers stand, and interpretive panels and guide presentations introduce the deep connection between local Indigenous peoples and this land. Within the park, the suspension bridge, Treetops Adventure, and Cliffwalk can all be linked on foot, and the overall visit takes about two to three hours.

Located in Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver, Grouse Mountain is known as the "Top of Vancouver" and is only 15 minutes' drive from the city center. This is a paradise for outdoor sportsmen. It is suitable for hiking in summer, and you can enjoy the beautiful skyline of Vancouver. 1. Play experience There is a platform built on Grouse Mountain, and there are humorous lumberjack performances and wonderful eagle training performances every day. There is a small grizzly bear sanctuary nearby, which attracts people every day. Here, grizzly bears live completely in a natural ecological environment. Because they are raised by breeders, they are not aggressive and can be close-up. Observe and appreciate. 2. Skiing experience Grouse Mountain divides 25 slopes into ski runs of different levels of difficulty. Among them, the popular Cut Slope is favored by skilful skiers. All 13 ski slopes provide night lighting. Skiing can also enjoy the bright night view of Vancouver. 3. Cable car experience Grouse Mountain has the largest cable car in North America, SkyRide. On the way to the top of the mountain, you can slowly climb 900 meters. There are beautiful mountain views. When you reach the top of the mountain, you can overlook the panoramic view of Vancouver. The fast ropeway and wind eye project are even more popular with adventurers. You can go directly to the 20-story wind power tower through the elevator, and experience the visual feast of standing on the "top of Vancouver".

This place is definitely suitable for everyone, especially family with young kids! The three things that you must do! 1) cross the suspension bridge, 2) venture along the Treetops walk, and 3) experience the "cliffhanging" cliff walk! Had an enjoyable outing in under two hours for us (not so young couple)!

Strolling beneath the white sail-shaped roofs of Canada Place, I felt like I was sailing in the harbor! The five-sail building reflecting the shimmering waters of the bay was so stunning that I couldn't help but snap a dozen photos from different angles. Walking along the wooden walkway, watching seaplanes take off and land and seagulls fight over fries was truly captivating. I also stopped by the FlyOver Canada experience center, where the 4D flight simulator over the snow-capped mountains was incredibly realistic! The evening sun painted the harbor a molten hue. I sat on the steps, munching on ice cream and watching the cruise ships arrive and depart, lost in thought for an hour. My only complaint was the strong wind that tangled my hair—but that's Vancouver's effortless charm, huh?

Many hotels flaunt their "high-end" status, but this one hides its "thoughtfulness" in every unseen corner. The corridor carpet is short-pile, making no sound underfoot and ensuring guests in the adjacent rooms aren't disturbed. The glasses in the rooms are placed upside down on clean cotton mats, not in cheap plastic sleeves, and have a faint, sterilized scent. The minibar drinks don't feature expensive imported brands, but rather refreshing local beverages, all free of charge with no hidden costs. In the morning, sitting on the terrace, the air is filled with the fragrance of grass and trees, and complimentary cool boiled water is on a small table, each cup covered with a small dust cap. There are no grand surprises, but every detail is meticulously crafted, understated yet instantly warming your heart. This is a hotel that truly understands the meaning of accommodation.

Gastown has many pretty stores and cafes.but there are lots of homeless wandering around this area. Don’t walk around at late night. When you keep following down the Water street, you can see the steam clock and lots of designer’s stores and beautiful brunch cafes.

It is really a once-in-a-lifetime train experience. In September 2019, the weather in Canada was very suitable. It was amazing to take a train and experience the colorful mountains. The train company held a grand farewell ceremony before departure for the train at Vancouver Railway Station. This gave me a pleasant surprise. Not only did the train have Chinese service staff to introduce the scenery along the way, but there was also a food experience. Sitting on the train and looking at the scenery of the Rocky Mountains and eating Michelin meals, it really can't be described in words. The ticket price is indeed not cheap. I was a little hesitant before booking, but after the experience, I felt that the money was worth it. Also, I thought it would be boring on the train before leaving, but I didn't expect there were still a lot of activities. I couldn't stop taking pictures, especially the glass dome, which was like watching an IMAX blockbuster. Soon the wonderful day passed. The Queen's favorite train is indeed well-deserved, making my wife and I feel very noble. . .

I can’t say enough about this gorgeous Island Canada has to offer. Granville Island is a peninsula and shopping center in the Fairview neighbourhood of Vancouver, Canada, across from False Creek.

Grouse Mountain is a famous ski resort, but it is worth visiting in the summer. The mountain is not particularly high. There are lush greenery and birds singing everywhere. The commercial facilities here are also very good and the transportation is convenient.
