Foreword: I went during the day, and the weather was pretty good ☁️. I heard that the Shengjin Pagoda is also beautiful at night, so I'll go see it again sometime 👀. I only spent about half an hour there (including taking photos 📷).
✅ Must-see spots:
1. South Gate Archway + Prayer Corridor: Excellent spot for taking photos of the "Eternal Guardian of Jiangcheng" plaque, perfect for ancient-style portraits.
2. Shengjin Pagoda Main Tower (seven stories, eight sides, 50.86 meters high): Walk around the tower and listen to the bronze bells; best spots for photos: the square in front of the tower (panoramic view), and the Sword Pool (…). (Photographing reflections)
III. Sword Pool + Town Well: Witness the legend of "Digging a Well with a Golden Rope," the core of Nanchang's old city's feng shui.
IV. Thousand Buddha Temple: An ancient temple beside a pagoda, a place for quiet prayer; flash photography and loud noise are prohibited.
V. Dacheng Hall (Confucian Temple): Confucian culture; view inscriptions from various dynasties in the stele gallery.
VI. Longxing Stage: Often features performances of Gan opera, tea-picking opera, and other intangible cultural heritage on weekends and holidays.
VII. Folk Museum: Learn about the folk customs and intangible cultural heritage of Nanchang's old city (Opening hours: 09:00-17:00)
