Catedral de Murcia
Catedral de Murcia is one of the most important religious buildings in Murcia and an outstanding representative of Spanish Baroque architecture. Construction of the church began in the 14th century, with the initial structure built in 1394 on the site of a former mosque. The church's architectural style blends various elements, including Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical, reflecting the evolution of Spanish architectural styles. The main facade features a Baroque style and was designed by architect Jaime Bort in the 18th century. The facade is ornately decorated, with a large rose window in the center and the coat of arms of Queen Isabella II carved at the top to commemorate her donation to the church. The interior of the church is divided into three naves, beautifully decorated, and features multiple chapels and altars. The church's bell tower stands 95m tall and is the second-tallest bell tower in Spain. Built between 1521–1793, it blends various styles, including Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical.
