Quadrilateral Square is located at the intersection of via Emanuele and via Maqueda. It is also the central area of Palermo. The building surface is still very gorgeous, with a bit of Baroque decorative design. It is also one of the main attractions.

The Norman Palace is really a bit unremarkable from the outside, and we almost missed it. The most interesting thing here is the Palatine Chapel, which is really a chapel built with gold, with golden mosaics everywhere! This palace incorporates the Byzantine style! It’s a pity that the rooms are not open in winter

Teatro Massimo Palermo/Palermo The Teatro Massimo is the third largest opera house in Europe after Paris and Vienna. It is also the pinnacle of Palermo's neoclassical architecture. I missed the guided tour in the theater several times I went to Palermo before. This time I went there in advance (you can also contact by email) and booked a guided tour + climbing to the top to see the scenery of Palermo city. Because some people in the group signed up to see the backstage, the tour guide simply let everyone see it together. The Teatro Massimo was built to celebrate the unification of Italy. It covers an area of 8,000 square meters. There are two huge bronze lions at the door. The two statues above the lions represent the god of drama and the god of opera respectively. There are 1,350 seats inside, and seven layers of surrounding inclined stands, which are in a typical horseshoe style. There is a limit on the number of people in the summit group, so be sure to book by email in advance

This is the most beautiful church in Palermo. There are much to explore and view inside. Our only downside was the poor guide provided by the church - no real knowledge of the local history. Only art related to religious.

The Piazza Praetoria in Sicily is not very big. There is a famous fountain in this small square. There is free wifi in the square. There are many tourists near the Quadriga. Opposite the square is the police station. On the other side of the square is a church, which you can visit. In the afternoon, there are some small vendors near the square, selling backpacks, small accessories and other items. If you are not buying, it is better not to ask the price, otherwise they will chase you to bargain.
