In New Zealand, people call lakes that perfectly reflect the reflections of the mountains and forests on the lakeside "Mirror Lakes".
Located 56 kilometers north of Te Anau and beside Highway 94, Mirror Lake is called Mirror Lakes in English, and the accurate translation is "Mirror Lake Group".
Following the trail hidden in the dense forests of the valley, I came to the edge of Mirror Lake and finally saw its beauty: several unnamed small lakes (more like small ponds) with a diameter of 20 to 30 meters, connected together to form the beautiful landscape of Mirror Lake Group.
Because the area is not large, there are no waves. The towering mountains on the opposite bank and the dense water plants on the lakeside are clearly reflected on the mirror-like lake surface, like a series of quiet ink paintings, which really has a certain charm.
Tips: Starting from Te Anau, follow Highway 94 to Milford Sound, the whole journey is 120 kilometers and the drive takes 2 hours. New Zealand's management department has made full use of the natural scenery resources along the way to develop tourist attractions such as Mirror Lake, Monkey Creek, and Arlington Valley, and built parking lots, sightseeing trails, viewing platforms and other facilities. Each attraction can be visited for 15 to 30 minutes.
Passing vehicles stop here, which can not only prevent drivers from driving fatigue, but also help drivers and passengers visit here, achieving multiple goals at one stroke and being very humane.
