Mingshan Scenic Area

Mingshan Scenic Area is located on Mingshan Island in the Heilongjiang River, facing Luobei Port to the south and looking out toward Amurzet, Russia, to the north. Surrounded by river water, with dense ancient trees, birdsong, and wild charm, it presents a rustic, rugged, and unadorned natural ecological landscape. The island has fertile soil, forested areas, and dense vegetation. It is home to various broad-leaved trees such as birch, willow, elm, and poplar, as well as many small omnivorous animals like foxes, weasels, and sables. It also serves as a habitat for summer migratory waterbirds such as egrets. After years of river erosion, the banks have collapsed, the sandy beaches have expanded, and the river channels have widened. Although the island's area has shrunk, the lush willow trees growing around it have protected the island, so its overall size has not changed significantly. Mingshan Island is shaped like a dragon. Legend has it that the Dragon King of the Heilongjiang River once fought a white dragon here and later lay down on this spot, which is why the island is also known as Heilong Island. Mingshan Island is 3,500 m long from east to west and 500 m wide from north to south. From west to east, it is divided into five functional areas: the water sightseeing area, the comprehensive sightseeing area, the villa area, the Yantongjiang Temple, and the garden hunting area. The island features gentle sandy beaches that serve as a natural swimming area, and it also offers views of exotic foreign scenery.Luobei · 23 km from downtown

Tangwanghe Forest and Rock attraction is located in Tangwanghe District, Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province. The attraction is divided into six sections: the "One Line Sky" scenic area, the Botanical Garden scenic area, the Forest Guanyin scenic area, the Valley Adventure scenic area, the Wind Disaster Relics scenic area, and the Primitive Red Pine scenic area. From Indosinian granite stone forests to rare Tertiary red pine primeval forests, from wind disaster relics and fire-damaged sites to the Dusi Blueberry Orchard, this area boasts unparalleled beautiful scenery and natural wonders. The first attraction in the park is the "One Line Sky" in the Tangwanghe Forest and Rock Scenic attraction. This is a narrow crevice formed by two stone peaks, 26.13 meters and 17.97 meters high respectively, only 35-45 centimeters apart, creating a narrow opening that allows only one person to pass at a time. Looking up, only a sliver of sky is visible, hence the name "Tangwanghe Forest and Rock Scenic attraction- One Line Sky". The Tangwanghe Forest and Rock Scenic attraction"One Line Sky" is a geological formation created by jointing and weathering. Rising abruptly from the ground, it is towering and majestic, a rare gem among granite stone forest landforms. Adjacent to "One Line attraction" is a large rock called "Tangwanghe Forest and Rock Scenic attraction- Doujin Stone," named for its resemblance to a rice bucket. It was formed by the erosion of an independent mountain body after movement. The park boasts lush vegetation, verdant mountains, and a forest coverage rate exceeding 98.8%, making it an excellent forest oxygen bar.China · Tangwang County

Gold Ancient Town Reviews Advantages Rich historical and cultural heritage: This area was once a major gold-producing area during the Qing Dynasty, earning the nickname "Rouge Ditch." The ancient town, set against the backdrop of the late Qing Dynasty's Taipinggou gold mining era, vividly showcases the gold mining culture and social landscape of that era through its Gold Museum, historic gold shops, escort agencies, and other buildings, along with statues of characters. Simple architectural style: The ancient town's buildings are quaint, featuring blue bricks and gray tiles, carved beams and painted rafters, and a staggered layout imbued with a rustic charm, offering a sense of time travel back in time to the prosperous gold rush era. A wide variety of experiences: Visitors can personally experience panning for gold in the sand, embracing the hardships and joys of the gold miners of yesteryear. Furthermore, the ancient town frequently hosts folk performances such as Errenzhuan (two-person opera) and yangko (yangge) dance, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the rich atmosphere of Northeastern folklore. Beautiful Natural Scenery: The ancient town is connected to the Longjiang Three Gorges Scenic Area. Boat trips through the canyon offer breathtaking views of the sheer cliffs and crystal-clear waters of the river. "National Geographic China" has called it "Heilongjiang's Most Beautiful Landscape Gallery." Well-Reached Amenities: The ancient town features an entertainment center with billiards, a chess and card room, specialty restaurants, and guest rooms with wooden tiled roofs, offering comprehensive travel services. Disadvantages: The imitations of ancient architecture lack a sense of age: The ancient town is a replica of an existing site. While its architectural style is simple, it lacks the historical vigour of authentic ancient architecture, leading some visitors to describe it as "not ancient." Remote Location: Located in a mountainous area, the ancient town faces limited transportation and is far from major cities. For some visitors, reaching the ancient town may require considerable time and effort. Highly seasonal: Due to climate influences, the best time to visit the ancient town is from May to mid-October. The scenery and experience may be significantly diminished during other seasons. During peak tourist season, the crowds may also affect the visitor experience.

This summer, we visited Tangwanghe in Yichun. The Tangwanghe Scenic Area was truly relaxing; it's a wonderful place to escape the summer heat. We listened to the rustling of the pines in the forest, admired the quirky rocks, and lingered among the pigs in the woods, while the birch forest inspired endless daydreams.
