Boston Beach

Boston Beach

Boston Beach is located in Portland on the northeast coast of Jamaica, tucked away in a small bay east of Port Antonio. It is embraced by lush hills and cliffs on both sides, with clear, blue waters. There are only a few beaches in Jamaica suitable for surfing, and this is one of them. The bay's topography consistently generates steady waves year-round, making it a go-to spot for local surfing enthusiasts. On calm days, the waves are gentle, and beginners can catch their first wave under the guidance of an instructor. When the waves are high, you can often see local experts carving through the surf from the shore, and watching them is quite thrilling. After you're tired from playing, just a few steps away is the adjacent Boston Jerk Centre. A row of rustic stalls slow-roasts jerk chicken and pork marinated with allspice and peppers over charcoal, served with sweet fried dough and roasted breadfruit. Enjoying freshly grilled jerk meat after surfing is a classic experience favored by locals.Jamaica · Fairy Hill
