Hongshi National Forest Park
Jilin Hongshi National Forest Park is located in Huadian City and Jingyu County at the foot of Changbai Mountain and the bank of Songhua River, under the jurisdiction of Hongshi Forestry Bureau. It covers an area of 28,574.6 hectares, with a water area of 2,269 hectares and a forest coverage rate of 93.2%. Relying on the natural landscape of Baishan Lake, Hongshi Lake and the coast, the mountain, island and lake are integrated. It is currently a multifunctional national forest park in Jilin Province with a large area, high forest coverage, complete wild animals and plants, and extremely abundant water and soil resources. The park has distinct four seasons, with mountain flowers in spring, two lakes in summer, red leaves in autumn, and rime in winter. The park's natural landscape, original ecology, forest culture, and red history have formed a unique "red + green" tourism model, which is deeply favored by tourists from inside and outside the province. It was an important secret camp and battlefield site of the First Route Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Forces. There are more than 20 relatively well-preserved sites: the headquarters, the underground cellar, the general spring, the Qingsong stove, etc. The Haozihu Secret Camp Memorial Hall of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Forces has a construction area of 712 square meters, and displays a large number of detailed pictures, physical objects and other historical materials. Baishan Lake Scenic Area: After the Baishan Dam was closed and filled with water, a large river-style artificial lake, Baishan Lake, was formed, which is known as the "No. 1 Lake under Changbai Mountain". Changbai Mountain North Slope Scenic Area
The area north of Tianchi Lake in Changbai Mountain is known as the North attraction of Changbai Mountain. Usually, you take route A to the top and then continue on route B to descend, avoiding backtracking. After the rain, although the red leaves have fallen off a little, the air in the mountains is fresher. Although we arrived at the forest oxygen bar at noon, the temperature was a little cold, so it is recommended to wear more clothes.
Due to lack of time, we went straight to the viewing platform and returned after arriving. If you have enough time and energy, you can walk the whole way, which takes about three hours. But this route is a bit tiring! ! And there is no place to sell food and drinking water during the journey, so you must bring enough supplies.
Although the sunlight at noon is gradually weakening, the light happens to be reflected in the woods on the right, making the red leaves look more colorful! Very suitable for taking pictures.
The viewing platform is built on the top of the cliff, and at the foot of the mountain is the winding mountain road to Baishan Power Station. The viewing platform has five floors. Now on the top floor, you can see all the small mountains, and see the surrounding forests and mountains red!

Changbai Mountain, true to its name, is incredibly clean! The restrooms in all areas were spotless, with sensor-activated flushes and hot water for handwashing – a truly touching experience for an autumn/winter trip. The restrooms had different themes, such as sables and black bears, adding a touch of vibrancy. We arrived a little late; most of the leaves had fallen, and it was the dry season, so the waterfalls weren't at their most beautiful. The small Tianchi Lake wasn't worth visiting yet; it's small, the water quality is so-so, and the surrounding forests are bare. Overall, the autumn air was crisp and clear. The 50-kilometer stretch from the distribution center to the transfer center was beautiful, vibrant with color, and Tianchi Lake was stunning. I especially loved the forest at the bottom of the valley; the pine scent was wonderful! I highly recommend walking to the end; there are vast, fairytale-like forests there, and we were lucky enough to encounter foxes and quite a few chipmunks along the way!

It's a bit far from downtown Changchun, about an hour's drive away. The automatic parking system at the entrance was a first for me, and it was free! There were even volunteers to show you how to use it – so thoughtful! The place is incredibly large; walking is impossible. A bus ride around it takes over 40 minutes. The most beautiful area is near the dam, not far from the entrance!

The red leaves in autumn are very beautiful, but they are only a few dozen meters long. The buildings in the tribe are very antique and small, and you can walk through them in ten minutes. It's okay for people nearby to come and have a look. It's not worth it for people far away, and you can finish the tour in an hour.

It was breathtaking! My trip to Changbai Mountain this National Day holiday was definitely worthwhile. The moment I saw the entire Tianchi Lake, I felt like I'd have a year full of good luck. The景区 staff were also very friendly and responsible, helping us with our ticket booking.

I've visited many 5A scenic spots, and this one was a great experience, mainly due to the staff. The bus ticket inspectors were very welcoming, greeting me warmly. Because it was the off-season, there weren't many people, and the driver, worried about missing my waterfall viewing, took the entire shuttle bus just for me – I was very touched. When I travel alone, I ask someone to take my picture, and if it happens, the staff will say "Welcome back next time" afterward – very thoughtful. With the recent popularity of Qing Dynasty dramas, this place recreates some scenes from Ningguta, which is quite interesting. Jingpo Lake itself is also very scenic, with a large body of water. The boat tour takes over an hour and is very comfortable!

Beidahu Ski Resort offers great value for money with its night skiing sessions, including afternoon and evening sessions from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 9 PM. Overall, the service is excellent, and safety measures are also good. The staff at the food court are also very friendly and helpful.

I regretfully missed the snow cake monkey show during the day, but a quiet stroll through the park still had its own charm.

Overall, it's pretty good. Once you get there, you can rent a car. I didn't know how to drive at first, but with my years of driving experience, I learned quickly. This saves energy. You can download an app, locate yourself, and check out the attractions and waiting times. Boys might like the Dinosaur Extinction attraction, as well as some thrilling rides. Some attractions require separate fees, such as the Ice and Snow World and the Petting Zoo!
