Mui Ne Fishing Village

6.4
4.4/5
263 reviews
Mui Ne Fishing Village is a fishing port on the coast of Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, Vietnam, that is still in operation today. It is both a fishing village and an open, sandy beach. The bay has calm waters, and fishing boats of various sizes and colors are anchored there year-round. Looking out from the high ground on the shore, the dense cluster of boats looks like a handful of toys scattered on the water. You can also often see the round, woven bamboo basket boats unique to the coast of Vietnam along the beach, which create a very recognizable scene. Walk down the stone steps to the seaside, and you will be greeted by the sea breeze. To see the fishing village, you should go early: fishermen mostly go out to sea at night and return with full loads around sunrise. Fishing boats dock one after another, and the catch is spread directly on the beach for sorting and sale. Women are busy around baskets of fish and shrimp, and the entire beach becomes an open-air seafood morning market. Most of the catch is sold to nearby seafood stalls. In the evening, when the fishing activities subside and the beach becomes quiet, watching the sunset paint the sea red is equally pleasant.Phan Thiet · 22.5 km from Hoa Thang

Fairy Stream, Mui Ne

Fairy Stream, Mui Ne is a shallow stream that flows through Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, and eventually empties into the sea. It is said that it was once called Bamboo Stream, but today many travelers prefer to call it the Red Canyon of Mui Ne. Its entrance is quite inconspicuous, hidden at the end of a small alley, and you might miss it if you are not careful; passing through the entrance and walking upstream is where the real highlight of this trip lies. To explore this place, you need to wade upstream. The bottom of the stream is covered with fine, soft red sand and mud, which feels soft and smooth underfoot. The scenery on both sides of the valley offers a striking contrast: on one side are red and white rock walls, eroded by wind and rain over the years, with layers of rock stacked up, covered in spire-like sand pillars and strangely shaped grooves; on the other side are stretches of coconut groves and greenery. The deeper you go, the higher the rock walls and the more intense the colors. Climb up to the red sand highlands and look back, and you can capture the valley, the greenery, and the distant sea all in one frame.Phan Thiet · 23.2 km from Hoa Thang

VinWonders Nha Trang is located on Hon Tre Island in Nha Trang Bay. As one of Vietnam's rare large-scale theme parks built on an island, it combines land attractions, a water park, an underwater world, and garden views all on one island, making it worth setting aside a full day to explore. Most travelers take the cable car from the Nha Trang city side to reach the island. While soaring over the bay, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Nha Trang coastline, and this cross-sea journey itself is considered by many as the first highlight of the park experience. Each zone in the park has its highlights: the "fairyland" area features dreamy light shows and adventure activities like zip lines and alpine coasters. The "world garden" gathers distinctive flora from five continents, perfect for strolls and photos. The water park, built along the coast, offers multiple slides and a large inflatable floating island—ideal for beating the heat. The "ocean world" aquarium houses tens of thousands of marine creatures, with mermaid shows being a family favorite. The daily Tata show and all-star parade are highly popular, so check time slots in advance to avoid crowds for top attractions. Save time for the Ferris wheel to enjoy panoramic views of the park and sea. • VinWonders Nha Trang is a theme park integrating resorts, dining, and amusement facilities, combining a water park and a land park. • Enjoy numerous adventure rides and entertainment activities to conquer various challenging thrill games. • Enjoy the sea view with an overlookNha Trang Bay, Pearl Island, enjoy the magnificent view of Nha Trang. △ Overlooking the entire amusement park andPearl island, experience the magnificent sea view △ Thrilling rides to enjoy the excitement of an adrenaline rush △ Cool water park activities relieve tension and fatigueVietnam · Nha Trang

Hon Tre

Hon Tre (known as "Hòn Tre" in Vietnamese) lies in Nha Trang Bay, facing the city of Nha Trang across the sea. Because the popular VinWonders Nha Trang resort is built on the island, it is often referred to by travelers simply as Pearl Island. You can reach the island by boat or cable car from the city. The cable car, spanning over 3,000 m, crosses the entire bay. Sitting in a cabin suspended above the sea, you can take in the emerald waters and passing fishing boats, making the journey to the island a scenic experience in itself. After dark, the cable car supports light up, becoming part of the bay's nightscape. The island features fine, soft sand and shallow, clear water, perfect for swimming, playing in the water, or simply lying on the beach to sunbathe. The coastline is a great spot for watching the sunset in the evening. The hills in the center of the island are covered with lush tropical vegetation, creating a different pace from the bustling shoreline. The island also concentrates facilities such as a theme park, water park, aquarium, and golf course, with multiple resort hotels built along the sea. Families can play from morning till night, while those seeking a quiet vacation can also find a corner facing the ocean. From February to May each year, the waves are smaller and the water is clearer, making it a great time to visit the island.Vietnam · Nha Trang

Nha Trang beach is the main city beach stretching alongTran Phu Street, extending for approx. 7 km, and facing Nha Trang Bay. There are 19 islands in the bay that block waves from the open sea, making the nearshore water relatively calm and clear. The coastal promenade next to the beach is lined with coconut trees, and the hedges are trimmed into various shapes. In the early morning, residents often run, exercise, or swim directly in the sea on the beach; in the evening, many people also stroll along the promenade, waiting for the sunset over the sea. During the day, you can rent a lounge chair to sunbathe, or go swimming or play beach volleyball. Along the coastal boulevard, there are many restaurants and stalls serving fresh seafood, where you can taste local specialties such as lobster, grilled squid, and fish cake noodle soup. Standing by the beach is the Tram Huong Tower, shaped like an agarwood bud, which is a landmark of the Nha Trang waterfront.Vietnam · Nha Trang

Pham Ngu Lao

When it comes to Ho Chi Minh City, no one is unaware of Pham Ngu Lao. Named after the Vietnamese national hero Pham Ngu Lao, the old street is just an ordinary road. What we commonly refer to as the old street is actually an area comprising Pham Ngu Lao and several surrounding roads, a paradise for backpackers. Here, the streets crisscross, with hotels of various grades and budget hostels scattered throughout the neighborhood. Along the roadside, you'll find a wide array of travel agencies, foreign currency redemption locations, restaurants of diverse cuisines, Western eateries, bars, cafes, and shops selling local specialty products—everything you could need. This is the old quarter of Ho Chi Minh City, where the daily life of ordinary people unfolds vividly before your eyes. Travelers of all skin colors can be seen here—some carrying backpacks while searching for accommodation on the streets, others strolling around after setting down their packs, and still others capturing the moment with their cameras. In short, every expression of a backpacker you'd hope to see can be found here. Meal Restaurants from around the world offer a rich variety of flavors. Here you can taste local snacks, and the delicious food from nearby street stalls is no less impressive than that of upscale restaurants. No wonder this place never sleeps—you can always find something tasty even in the middle of the night. You can try the coconut milkshake at Allez Boo, a blend of coconut juice, ice cubes, and milk, and even scoop out the coconut flesh with a small spoon. Alternatively, head to the eatery at the end of the old street for a bowl of beef meatball rice noodles paired with iced coffee—the unique taste is something only you can experience. Or, order a steamed beer crab at some obscure little shop; its thick, tender meat practically melts in your mouth, with an intoxicatingly fresh and sweet flavor. Don't miss the roadside rice skin snacks, available in various flavors—crispy and delicious. And for the girls, there's a variety of ice creams to enjoy, perfectly complemented by tropical fruits. Nightlife The midnight in the old quarter is even more brilliant with lights, and the night is enchanting. The shops on the old street are also the main shopping spots in Ho Chi Minh City. There are many tourist crafts here, allowing you to stroll slowly at night and carefully pick. At night, many sleepless backpackers come out to wander, looking for cafes, snack shops, and juice stalls, making it very lively.Vietnam · Ho Chi Minh City

This is probably called a mud ditch in China, hahaha. But for Vietnam, which is not very developed and not very large, this is indeed a tourist attraction. And the red mud is still very local.

The park is huge, so I recommend rushing in as soon as it opens at 8:30! We arrived at the park around 10:00 AM and went to the amusement park, Adventure World, the water park, and the mountain coaster. We didn't even have time to visit the zoo and botanical garden. It's really great value for money; there are all sorts of food and drinks within the park, and the prices are very reasonable. The cable car over the sea has beautiful views! I recommend buying the 150,000 VND per person electric cart service; it's a lifesaver on a hot summer day… Go to the water park early, as the entire park closes around 6:00 PM, and then everyone waits for the Tata Show in the evening.

We caught the cable car there and back, took the mini driving train when we got there. Most shops are food or retail. Not much to see unless you buy a pass into Vin Wonder. We didn't so stopped for a cocktail and beer and headed back. Cable car ride was good.

It's been a long time since I've had such a comfortable hotel. Every smiling face was like a gentle spring breeze, and the atmosphere of being respected felt natural. The bedding was comfortable, the service was attentive, and there wasn't a single unpleasant experience. I would definitely come back after my stay.

Once departed it was excellent. Myself and another traveller were told to arrive by 5pm, only to be told that we could not go on the sunset cruise and would have to wait until 7.30pm. Very disappointing. Such a waste of 2 hours when on a short city break. Feel we were lied to by staff
