Happo Pond, located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, is one of the "5 Breathtaking Japanese Ponds". The pool surface is like a huge mirror, reflecting the water shadow of the White Horse Mountains, revealing a sense of mystery. Bafang Pond is located on the high ground at an altitude of 2060 meters. In autumn, you can enjoy the bright red leaves, and in early summer, you can see the white world where the snow has not yet melted away. The contrasting scenery of the four seasons makes it a superb scenic spot worth seeing when you are on a mountain cruise.Hakuba · 6.9 km from downtown

Tsugaike Nature Park

2.8
Tsugaike Nature Park is located in Otari, Kitaazumi District, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. It is situated in a highland area at an altitude of about 1,900 m at the foot of the Northern Alps and is one of the high-altitude alpine wetlands in Japan. Visitors can easily reach the park by taking the Tsugaike Kogen Gondola and ropeway, and then follow the well-maintained wooden boardwalks to enjoy close-up views of the alpine wetlands, ponds, forests, and snowy mountain scenery. The park preserves a well-maintained natural ecological environment, where hundreds of plant species grow, including Asian skunk cabbage, daylilies, and alpine plants, presenting distinct natural landscapes in different seasons. In spring, lingering snow contrasts with fresh greenery; in summer, flowers are in full bloom; and in the fall, the forests are ablaze with color, making it a popular spot for photography, hiking, and viewing autumn foliage. It is also an important habitat for ptarmigans, Japanese serows, and various wild birds, holding significant ecological conservation value. The park is equipped with a visitor center, rest areas, observation decks, and ecological interpretation facilities, providing visitors with a comfortable and convenient touring experience. With its magnificent Northern Alps scenery, alpine wetland ecosystem, and distinct seasonal natural landscapes, it has become a destination for ecotourism and nature viewing in the Chubu region of Japan.Otari · 9.3 km from Hakuba

Kurobe Gorge is the deepest V-shaped canyon in Japan. You can take a slow tram tour of the canyon, enjoy hot springs, and taste delicious food. The red train that you ride has a history of more than 40 years. The width between the rails is only 76cm, just like a toy in a playground. The whole journey is 20km, 1.5 hours, through 45 tunnels, 21 bridges, and travels through the valley. And on the tunnel, there are red maples on the two walls along the way, the stream is gurgling, and the scenery is very beautiful. One of the bridges is 55 meters long and is elevated in the depths of a 56-meter-high canyon. This is a representative scenic spot for the entire journey. Along the route, there are hot springs such as Kuroana Hot Springs, Shimono Hot Springs, and Mingken Hot Springs, which provide hot springs for Unazuki Onsen. You can get off the bus and enjoy the hot spring baths.Kurobe · 18.2 km from Hakuba

Mount Fuji, which means "volcano" in Japanese, spans Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures. This mountain, regarded as the "Holy Mt." by the Japanese, has been dormant since its eruption in 1707. This dormant volcano is a symbol of Japan. Of course, if you want to experience the natural scenery of Mt. Fuji and its surroundings up close, the Fuji Five Lakes area under the northern mountain of Mt. Fuji is a good choice. The reflection of Mt. Fuji in Kawaguchi Lake is a very classic scene, it is worth seeing, the nearby Oshino Hachi The sea is also famous. Peace Park in the southeast is a good choice for viewing Mount Fuji. On a sunny day and there is no cloud cover, you can clearly see the conical peak of Mount Fuji. In autumn and winter, you can also see the snow on the top of the mountain, which is particularly beautiful. Every year from mid-September to mid-October, the top of Mount Fuji begins to snow, and it will not melt until around June of the following year, and the residual snow can even be seen in mid-July. You can climb Mount Fuji in July and August, and the mountain will be closed in other seasons. There are four main mountain climbing entrances on Mount Fuji, namely Fujinomiyaguchi, Sugoguchi, Gotembaguchi, and Fujiyoshida (Kawaguchiko) entrance. The first three are all in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is divided into 10 stages from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. Each stage is called a "station", and there is a place for tourists to rest. Most tourists take the bus from Lake Kawaguchi to the fifth station of Mount Fuji on the middle of the mountain, and then start from here. mountaineering. Climbing to the top of Mount Fuji, you can see a beautiful volcanic lake formed by two craters, surrounded by 8 peaks. Along the crater tour, there is a weather station, which is the commanding height of Japan. You may wish to take a group photo. There are two shrines, namely Kusushi Shrine and Sengen Shrine. There is also a post office on the top of the mountain, where you can send a postcard to friends and relatives. . In addition, watching the sunrise on Mount Fuji will be an unforgettable and beautiful experience. In addition to Mount Fuji itself, the scenery around the mountain is also very good. There are caves left after the volcanic eruption at the northern foot of the mountain, with various shapes and shapes, and some of them will continue to exhale. Among them, the walls of the Fuyue Feng Cave are covered with stalactite-like icicles, which are called "Wannianxue". The southern foothills is a vast plateau pasture with beautiful scenery all year round, and there are many places for leisure activities, such as camping, swimming and fishing in summer, and skiing and skating in winter.Japan · Fujinomiya

This is a recommended tourist spot for beginners and those who are not confident in their physical strength! There were many elderly people climbing as well. I was able to feel the power of the 2000m-class mountains! This time, I climbed in the afternoon, so next time I would like to climb early in the morning and enjoy the even more beautiful Happoike Pond!

Nice park, a lot of entertainment, but we happened to go on a Sunday and it was extremely crowded. An upside is that you can buy a pass, which is rather affordable, and it can help you experience more in one day. We bought passes for 2 attractions, and even with them were not able to attend everything, which was a pity, cause we spent most of the day queuing. I guess the situation is different on weekdays.

Shibuya Sky was easily one of my favourite experiences in Tokyo, and I would definitely recommend it over other observation decks in the city. The views are incredible, and the atmosphere at night is immaculate. I got lucky and managed to grab an 8 PM slot after repeatedly checking for availability, as tickets tend to sell out very quickly, especially around sunset. If you visit during the day on a clear day, you can even see Mount Fuji. The price is very reasonable for the experience, and getting in was easy and straightforward. The signs were clear, and I didn't have to wait too long. I ended up spending almost two hours up there, enjoying the views and just relaxing. My biggest tip is to book as soon as tickets become available, especially if you want the sunset slot. It's absolutely worth it!

Unazuki is a relatively small place, and traveling through Kurobe Gorge in this way is more time-saving and labor-saving. The only problem is that you can only reach Nekomata. The second half was damaged by the earthquake, which is a pity.

The Tateyama Kurobe Alps Route is a tourist sightseeing route across the lofty mountains in Hokuriku, central Japan, because it takes six different climbing modes, time control is important. This one trip was one of the most anticipated of my entire trip, unfortunately the weather was not good, we got to Tateyama Station has started to rain heavily, up to see the view, all mist, like a fairyland.

Yes, it gets extremely crowded (especially weekends, holidays, and peak midday hours), but that energy is part of its charm for many. Go early or late and the experience becomes almost serene.

Chose to visit the Mount Fuji Instagram-famous spots on Trip.com's recommendation, and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable experience. The itinerary included memorable locations such as Arakurayama Sengen Park, Hikawa Clock Shop, Oshino Hakkai, Kawaguchiko Lawson, and Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park—each offering its own breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji. Our tour guide (Hikari) truly made the trip special: not only was he friendly, but he was also impressively patient throughout the day, making sure everyone felt comfortable and had enough time to enjoy each spot. The pace of the tour was just right, allowing for leisurely sightseeing and ample opportunities for taking photos—perfect for capturing those Instagram-worthy moments! If you're considering this day trip, I recommend bringing your camera and a light jacket, as weather around Mt. Fuji can change. The service from Trip.com was smooth and easy, making the whole experience stress-free.
