Three Natural Bridges

8.3
4.6/5
17.4k reviews

Three Natural Bridges is located in Xiannüshan Town, Wulong, Chongqing, and is a typical karst landscape attraction. The three natural stone arch bridges—Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge—are arranged longitudinally and span the Yangshui River gorge in parallel, with each bridge standing more than 200 m tall, connecting the mountain masses on both banks into one whole and forming the unique view known as "three bridges flanking two pits." The huge depressions enclosed between the bridges are what people commonly call "heavenly pits." It is quite rare to find three giant natural bridges appearing in succession within such a short stretch of gorge—such a bridge cluster view is truly uncommon. The three bridges each have a distinct form: Tianlong Bridge is tall and massive, with a through-cave developed beneath it; after rain, waterfalls often cascade down from the deck of Qinglong Bridge, and the mist catches the sunlight to form a rainbow—hence the bridge's name; Heilong Bridge takes its name from its deep, dark arch cave, with several mountain springs hanging along its walls. At the bottom of the pits, streams murmur and trees are lush and green; looking up, you see nearly vertical cliff faces, with mountain springs plunging down from the cliff tops—walking through feels like passing through a gorge at the center of the earth. Tours usually begin by taking the sightseeing elevator down to the bottom of the sinkhole, then following the valley-floor trail through three bridge arches in succession, looking up at the bridge arches and cliff faces. Tianfu Post Station at the bottom of Tianlong Bridge sinkhole is a faux-antique quadrangle courtyard with gray-tiled roofs, gray walls, and upturned eaves. A post station once stood here during the Tang Dynasty, and the courtyard has been restored to its original appearance. Director Zhang Yimou's film "Curse of the Golden Flower" was shot on location here, and it is also a filming location for "Transformers: Age of Extinction" and the film adaptation of "Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms." After the tour, visitors can walk up the trail to exit the attraction and transfer to a shuttle bus back to Xiannüshan Town Visitor Center, or make a side trip to the adjacent Longshuixia Ground Fissure to see both karst landscapes—the "sinkhole" and the "ground fissure"—in one visit.

The 816 Project Scenic Spot is located in Baitao Street, Fuling District, Chongqing City. It is a nuclear raw material production base independently designed and constructed by the People's Republic of China and deployed in a cave. It has the top-secret code name "816". The construction was approved by the Central Military Commission in 1966. Its full name is the "Third-line Construction Atomic Energy Reactor and Chemical Reprocessing Project." It is a typical representative of more than 1,100 projects in the "Third Line Construction" of New China. That year, more than 60,000 construction troops from across the country were mobilized to Baitao to start the 18-year project construction. The project has gone through three stages: emergency construction, delayed construction, and construction suspension. The total excavation area is 104,000 square meters. The tunnel consists of 18 large holes and more than 130 pilot tunnels, branch tunnels, tunnels and shafts. The main cavern is as high as 79 . 6 meters. By 1984, 85% of the construction work had been completed, and about 60% of the installation work had been completed. The total investment reached 746 million yuan (price in that year). Due to the complexity and arduousness of the engineering design and construction, it is known as the "Three Gorges in the Cave, the Underground Great Wall" and the "Heshi Bi buried deep in the mountains". It also has the characteristics of the "Three Gods" of magic, mystery and sacredness. 102 component storage pool The location where CCTV's “Going to the Grassroots” special report “Remember” column covers an area of 1,326 square meters. Its main function is to accept components and non-working blocks removed from the reactor, as well as store and classify non-working blocks. The 102 factory building is divided into two parts: the operation room and the pool. Each pool is equipped with water gates (9 sets in total) for the pool to be filled and drained in turn. There are 400 bucket positions with poles in the entire pool for long-term storage of original parts and non-working blocks. After the components are stored for one year, they will be cleaned by special water. Send it down the corridor to Factory 818. Ring Road 8 Located in the post-processing area of the entire project. It is huge in size, majestic in surroundings, and the beautiful lights perfectly outline the majesty of the cave. You might as well come here to explore the mystery and magic of the original ecological cave. Reactor pot bottom Located on the third floor of the main reactor. There are many pipe corridors above the bottom of the pot, which is spectacular. The construction of the glass corridor allows visitors to have a better experience, walk quietly under the pot, and overlook the long nuclear light. central control room Located on the ninth floor of the reactor. The most advanced computer body in the country at that time was housed here, which was the "heart" of the entire military industry cave and the central hub for coordinating the entire nuclear fuel manufacturing process. The 104 Nuclear Power Plant is 31.2 meters high and 25 meters wide. The reactor is a dual-purpose reactor for production and power generation. It uses its nuclear waste heat to generate electricity in accordance with the principle of "focusing on nuclear production and supplementing power generation, producing first and then generating electricity".

Fengdu Ghost City truly exceeded expectations! Many are deterred by its name, but a firsthand visit reveals that the ghost stories here are essentially moral lessons from ancient times. Ancient temples are scattered across the mountain, stone archways are exquisitely crafted, and the couplets on the Road to the Underworld, the solemnity of the Emperor's Hall, and the melancholy of the Looking-Home Terrace complete the entire route of underworld legends. The mountains are lush and verdant, with expansive views along the river, offering picturesque scenery at every turn. The scenic area is well-planned, with a smooth and direct route, perfect for a leisurely solo trip. When visiting the Three Gorges, you must experience this unique aspect of Chinese folk culture.

The scenery is quite beautiful, perfect for escaping the summer heat. Many people camp there, and you can also stay in guesthouses or hotels. We enjoyed cycling, boating, and lake tours. There's a beautiful field of verbena flowers, but it's not very large, and there aren't many places to do other activities. It's best suited for a two-day, one-night trip.

The cruise team designated scenic spots, from Fengdu Wharf directly take the battery car up the mountain. It is said to be the smallest forest park in the country, with an area of only 1.5 square kilometers. It is indeed very small, and there are regular cultural performances. Apart from locals, most tourists are brought here by cruise ships.

It is a three-hour drive from the city and has convenient transportation. The mountain road has many bends but is still easy to drive. It is convenient to eat and park inside, and the ticket price feels reasonable and not expensive. The experience is good, the snow is very thick and the hardness is moderate. The children had a great time skiing for the first time, which is worth recommending.

Let me talk about the good things first: The scenery is good, sunny and foggy, each has its own flavor. The timid ones will not be afraid to go there on foggy days. The photos are very good, and it is worth a visit. The bad things: 1. The ticket price is still quite high, 98 yuan, and the tour lasts for 2 hours. 2. There will be people "snatching" on the road, and then ask if you want to buy photos at the exit. 3. The package content in the ticket office is not clearly marked with prices, and the meal expenses for the children are very entangled. Sometimes they say no, sometimes they say they will eat in the store, and sometimes they say the children have to buy it. Communication is very time-consuming. 4. The service attitude is average.

20230421 afternoon: 1. "Huangquan Road" is located in the 4A scenic spot "Fengdu Ghost City". Fengdu Ghost City is the location of the underworld in ancient legends. It was originally named "Fengdu" and is famous throughout the country for its unique netherworld culture. The mountain where the ghost city is located is called "Mingshan", formerly known as "Pingdu Mountain". When the Northern Song Dynasty literary giant Su Shi came to visit, he created "Pingdu Tianxia Ancient Famous Mountain", so it was renamed Mingshan. In history, there are also footprints of celebrities such as Lu You, Feng Zikai, Wang Shizhen, and Feng Yuxiang. ① Address: No. 152 Mingshan Road, Mingshan Town, Fengdu County, Chongqing. ② Transportation: Direct bus access, easy to park by car. ③ Peak season: Spring, there is a Fengdu temple fair on the third day of the third lunar month every year. ④ Time: 2 hours. ⑤ Notes: Shandong tourists can enter the park for free with their ID cards. 2. There are many origins of the ghost town. The more reliable version is the "Legend of Two Immortals": According to the "Biographies of Immortals" written by Liu Xiang of the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Yuan, a doctor of the Western Han Dynasty, abandoned his official position to cultivate immortality and ascended to heaven in Mingshan. The "Biographies of Immortals" of the Jin Dynasty also recorded that Yin Changsheng, the great-grandfather of Empress Yin of Emperor Liu Zhao of the Eastern Han Dynasty, became an immortal in Mingshan in the first year of Jianguang in the Eastern Han Dynasty (121 AD). In the Song Dynasty, the names of Yin Changsheng and Wang Yuan were simplified by the people and read as "Yin Wang", that is, "King of the Underworld". The reputation has been passed down from generation to generation and has spread to this day. There are many other legends about the origin of the ghost town, but they are less reliable. Originally, there were mostly Taoist temples on Mingshan, ranking 45th among the 72 blessed places of Taoism (recorded in "Water Classics" by Li Daoyuan, a geographer of the Northern Wei Dynasty), but most of them were destroyed in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. They were rebuilt later, but many were converted into Buddhist temples. Currently, Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism coexist. During the Great Steel Production Movement in 1958, many temples on the mountain were destroyed. Fortunately, Premier Zhou passed by Fengdu and stopped it in time after hearing about it. He also adopted the suggestion to simplify the name of Fengdu to Fengdu, which means "abundant food and clothing". 3. There are no stairs after this. After a flat "Yellow Spring Road", you will reach the main hall "Tianzi Hall"). The "Admonition Monument" on the road was built in the 16th year of the Republic of China, that is, in 1927 by Pengxi County Magistrate Sun Zhiguo and Tongliang County Magistrate Wu Zaiyi, admonishing the world to do more good and less evil).
