This was truly an unforgettable day trip! The magnificent scenery was breathtaking, from the fun-filled pirate ship ride on Lake Ashi to the geothermal steam of Owakudani, every stop was perfectly timed and well-organized. The tour guide was friendly and helpful, providing rich and engaging explanations that allowed us to learn a great deal while enjoying the beautiful views. Our guide Kenji was amazing. He asked us what we wanted to eat and we chose a food that was not on his radar. He did not miss a beat and found a place where we got a very authentic experience and great food. We followed up with a visit to a more conventional casual restaurant where we tried a variety of Japanese specialties. The quail eggs were so cute and so tasty. Kenji ordered and smoothed the way for us everywhere we went and made certain we went home with full tummies.
