Wow, the Longmen grotto especially is both everything and nothing like I expected! I appreciated the tour guide at both the Shaolin temple and the grotto telling stories and giving explanations for the things we were looking at. Both places were extremely, extremely busy, but I managed to see everything I wanted to!

A minibus was arranged to pick us up from the hotel in the morning to transfer to the main bus. The tour guide was excellent, responsible, and very caring towards the group members. We were also very satisfied with the arrangements. The overall trip was long but not too tiring. Highly recommended! 👍👍👍

The travel agency arranged this Shaolin Temple trip very well. Although we were a small group of 15 people, they still arranged a luxury bus with 32 seats for transportation. The bus seats were large and comfortable. Our tour leader, Ms. Li Enrui, was very experienced, professional, and conscientious. She introduced various information about Shaolin Temple. It was truly a wonderful trip.

We chose a private tour for two. The price was steep, but it was 100% worth it. Our guide, Bob, not only told us about the places to visit but also about modern Luoyang, and he answered all our questions and requests. We saw everything we wanted and still had energy left in the evening because we were picked up and dropped off directly from our hotel to the entrances of the attractions and back. If you're looking for comfort, this is a great option.

The trip to Luoyang was a true cultural feast! The Luoyang Museum boasts a rich collection, offering a clear overview of the civilization of this ancient capital of thirteen dynasties. The exquisite Tang tri-colored pottery is breathtaking and unforgettable. The White Horse Temple, ancient and solemn, is China's oldest temple, its blue bricks and ancient cypress trees exuding a profound Zen atmosphere, as if transporting one back a thousand years. The Longmen Grottoes are even more awe-inspiring; the Vairocana Buddha is compassionate and dignified, and the exquisite sculptures in the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave are breathtaking. The Yi River flows alongside the mountains, its scenery and culture complementing each other perfectly. Each of the three sites has its own unique characteristics, both profound and moving, and I highly recommend them to anyone who loves history and culture! This trip was so successful thanks to our excellent tour guide! His explanations were detailed and vivid throughout, explaining the historical origins of the Longmen Grottoes and the cultural stories of the White Horse Temple in a simple and easy-to-understand way, bringing the cold ancient sites to life. He arranged the itinerary thoughtfully and considerately, maintaining a good pace, and always thinking of our safety and reminding us to manage our time effectively. She was warm, sincere, and always ready to answer questions, with a smile throughout the entire trip, making the whole journey incredibly pleasant. This tour guide deserves a perfect score!

I was the only foreigner, but the guide took great care of me. The day before, they sent me a WeChat message with the meeting point near my hotel. It would have been a hassle to go to the Shaolin Temple alone, but I think it was a worthwhile choice.
