We had an awesome morning out on the lake with Pickles (and Oscar), he was welcoming from the start and was full of knowledge about the lake and surrounding area. We had the lake all to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed the views as well as the laughs, stories and knowledge Pickles shared with us. We would all highly recommend a kayaking trip with the guys, it’s been one of our favourite activities of the trip! Thanks again Pickles and Oscar, from Lewis, Conn, Molly and Lexi!

It was an incredible tour. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and fun. They tailored the trip to what would be best for the weather and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Stopping for a cuppa at a picturesque spot is a bonus too.

The cruise was beautiful and peaceful, and the guided rainforest walk was extremely informative. We learnt about invasive species, trapping methods, and the various plants in the verdant rainforest. Dale, our guide, was funny and knowledgeable, and ensured we were well taken care of throughout the cruise and walk. Highly recommended!

This hike is an incredible experience, especially if you go on a day with good weather (clear skies). It might be one of the biggest highlights of my trip to New Zealand. The only catch is that you need to know this is an advanced version of the classic 2.5-hour glacier hike. On the standard hike you only carry a small bag with your personal items, but on this one you carry a 10kg backpack and go through much rougher, more uneven terrain than the traditional hike, and you’ll eventually do some abseiling and vertical climbs. If you’re ready for that, you’ll enjoy it a lot! The only downside is the “lunch,” which is really just a simple snack like a sandwich with tea or coffee. Other than that, our guide was amazing, definitely a very challenging but really great experience!

overall the guide was friendly and gave some interesting info. on the way back however we were a little surprised that she shot off and had quite a pace back and didn't look back to check on the stragglers at the back


