Reviews: JR PASS Japan Kansai Area Rail Pass (Electronic Exchange Voucher)

Before traveling to Japan, I heard that buying a tourist pass would facilitate transportation and save money. I bought two sets of four-day passes on a platform. On October 6th, I arrived at Osaka Kansai Airport and exchanged them for paper passes valid from October 9th to 12th. I also bought two ICOCA cards, each worth 10,000 yen. On the 9th, I took the JR Osaka Loop Line from Shin-Kangu to Kyoto Station. The staff at the station said the two JR passes were valid all the way to Uzuma Station on the Sagano Line, a one-way trip. The Arashiyama Sagano scenic area is quite remote, and the area is only accessible by bus, so the passes couldn't be used. I spent most of my time staying in the Arashiyama area, and I don't know how to use the remaining passes, nor where to use them. We returned to Japan on October 16th. I'm wondering if I can get a refund for the two unused sets of passes.

Great experience. Really hit all the locations with a good amount of time at each. Though abit short, understandable as we hit so many locations. Can consider this a taster of what each location has to offer.

Although the direct flight is tired, it saves the trouble of connecting flights. Although the hotel may be full of free choice, if you have done enough homework, you can still book a hotel with a high cost performance.

Superb, bilingual tour guide, the tour guide girl is very professional, the itinerary is compact but not tired, very happy all the way, recommended. After walking three cities in a day, the explanation is also great
If you plan to travel around Osaka a lot and get to Kyoto and back in comfort, this is a great option! I had one day in Kyoto and didn't have cash to pay for my trip. This option was a lifesaver for me :)

Reviews: Kyoto & Uji World Heritage Sites day Tour | Kinkaku-ji & Kiyomizu-dera & Byodo-in

We signed up for a Kyoto day tour, and surprisingly, we were the only two mainland Chinese tourists in the group. The tour guide explained Kyoto's sights to us in both Chinese and English, which we found quite interesting. Since we were the only two whose admission tickets were included, the guide even bought separate tickets for us at each attraction and pointed out important things to note while leading us through the sites. We were very grateful for the warm hospitality of our guide, Cave Wu Wenkai. Despite the crowds during a Japanese holiday, the autumn leaves at Kiyomizu-dera Temple were still beautiful under the gentle autumn sun. A great trip!
