Reviews: Kyoto: Tea Museum Tickets and Matcha Grinding Experience
Guest User2026-02-27
Good fun with a fantastic instructor. Being able to grind then taste your own matcha- the fragrance is so good, and more flavour than just the powder. I also liked being able to go round the tea museum after. The little gift was a nice touch too.
Reviews: Uji City Museum, Kyoto, Japan - Local guide translation/tour service (admission ticket booking available)

The museum is really cool. You can't take pictures on just one floor; that's where the most interesting stuff is. I was transported back to my childhood and had an unforgettable experience.
Reviews: [Official Ticket] JR PASS Kansai Area 1/2/3/4-Day Rail Pass - Electronic Redemption Voucher (Includes HARUKA, Keihan Railway, Hankyu Railway, Kyoto Subway)
Guest User2026-01-21
This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.
Reviews: Uji: UNESCO Heritage & Tea Ceremony Walking Tour

We loved our guide Miya-san, who is personable, knowledgeable, and fluent in English. This was our third trip to Japan and first tour with a local guide, and I highly recommend acquiring the help of a local guide to enrich the Japan experience. I learned much about the culture with Miya-san’s explanation of certain symbols used in temple architecture, which otherwise I would hv missed. Thank you, Miya-san!
Reviews: 1-day tour from Osaka to Nara Park and Uji: Feed adorable deer, taste matcha, and enjoy cherry blossoms
Guest User2025-12-02
Thank you to our tour guide, Xiao Liao. He first emailed us, clearly outlining all the pick-up details, and then, after we added each other on WeChat, he wrote out the entire itinerary in detail. He was incredibly polite and meticulous. The next morning, he was there early at the subway station with a piece of paper bearing his name on it to meet us. He provided commentary throughout the trip, switching between Chinese and English, and was very kind and friendly. We appreciated his companionship. Kudos to this hardworking and diligent young man! He made our trip even smoother and more fulfilling.
