Great. There are too many ruins in the city, and you can stroll around the suburbs for a day. Especially Villa d'Este, it is completely a natural high-difference fountain.

We had an amazing time visiting these place. Our driver was prompt at picking us up from our hotel. Very comfortable 4-door mid-sized sedan car as well—perfect for 2 in the backseat (having 3 people would of been tight. If that is your case, as for a bigger car). The tour guide accompanied us in the car, pointing out a few interesting details as we were leaving Rome. It is about 30 minutes outside of Rome but can be longer depending on traffic. The guide was VERY informative and really had a passion about the information he was telling us. We never felt rushed—in fact we went over the estimate tour time because we took our time enjoying the sites. We stopped for an afagato in between the 2 sites and that was perfect. It is a lot of walking and steps so be mindful about shoes. Also bring water and I would suggest a sun umbrella for shade as well.

The lunch was tasty but the menu & what was included/excluded was unclear. We were charged for one dessert and one espresso, which was unexpected. The restaurant manager apparently told us they were not part of menu but in Italian so we didn’t understand. Why not have a printed sheet that gives this info in various languages? Our guide, Bianca, said she bring this up to the restaurant because the GYG description clearly says wine, water AND coffee are included - I’m attaching a screen shot in the photos section about this. Also, somehow my partner’s secondi dish arrived at least 5 and probably more minutes after the rest of our group. He ate fast to catch up. Bianca was a good guide but sometimes had to really reach for the best way to describe her thoughts. The sites were very enjoyable. I wish there had been 15-20 minutes more time to look at shops in Tivoli. The transport was oexcellent and efficient.
