We departed from the Queenstown meeting point at 7:30 AM and didn't arrive at the Milford Sound ticket office until just after 1:00 PM, stopping at several scenic spots for about ten minutes for photos. The boat trip lasted about two hours before heading back to Queenstown. In total, we spent over nine hours on the bus, which was incredibly uncomfortable – only the brave could make it! The driver spoke Chinese and was very nice! I wasn't particularly impressed by the fiordland scenery.★

Our driver was great, not at all like a typical employee, even though the round trip took over eight hours. The scenery along the way was beautiful, and the experience of taking the ferry upon arrival was also wonderful—it had a post-apocalyptic feel.★

Milford Sound is a must-see in New Zealand. Not only is it a unique fjord landscape unlike any found in my country, but Milford Sound in the rain is even more like something out of Lord of the Rings than on a sunny day. We set off early from Queenstown, trekking through mountains and rainforests shrouded in mist. The sky was overcast, and we occasionally passed waterfalls formed by mountain streams, enveloped in fog. It was truly breathtaking.★
