The overall itinerary was somewhat rushed due to Japanese driver service time regulations. The Takayama leg of the trip was particularly tight, mainly because completing a meal and a full visit to the Takayama Jinya (traditional Japanese houses) within two hours was quite strenuous. Two hours was more than enough for the Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri village. The tour guide was very professional and nice, and his explanations were quite interesting. The group members came from all over the world, with mainland Chinese tourists making up about 10%, making it a very international team.★

This is a free-roaming tour, perfect for those who want to explore independently with family and friends. When it's time to return, the guide will not accompany you. He's very punctual. The pick-up point is not far from the hotel.About
