This is a great option if you're arriving late at night! You can get your bus ticket right away by showing the QR code you received at the ticket counter. There was a line from the airport to Taipei Station late at night, but buses depart and arrive frequently, so it wasn't too long. The return trip from the station to the airport took about 40 minutes, about the same time as the MRT, so you can sit and enjoy the ride. However, since it was a Saturday afternoon, there may be traffic jams depending on the time of day, so be careful when planning your trip.★

It's a good value for money, as you can get your money's worth just by traveling from Taipei to Tainan. If you're staying in Taipei and taking the Taiwan High Speed Rail, this is a must-buy. Even if you don't get a reserved seat, you can just use your passport and pass through the ticket gates and get on the unreserved seat.★

I bought it in advance for a trip with a friend. I bought it with a pre-charge of NT$200, so I was able to use it for my four-day trip to Taiwan without having to charge it at all. Considering the exchange rate, I think it's a good deal. If you want to exchange it at the airport, you can do so at the counter in front of the MRT ticket gates, as shown in the photo below.★

I used it from Tainan to Taoyuan. I reserved a time in advance on the official website and headed to the station. When I showed my passport and reservation number at the ticket counter, they asked if I wanted to change the time, and when I told them I was fine with leaving it as it was, they issued me a paper ticket. They spoke simple Japanese and English. The interior of the car was air-conditioned, making for a quiet and comfortable trip.
