Had a really enjoyable day trip exploring Tainan Cigu Mountain, the salt fields and Sicao River.
Sicao River was quite an experience and something different from the usual sightseeing. We went for brunch first, so unfortunately we only reached around noon when the sun was really hot. Would probably be better to go earlier in the morning.
We were a little disappointed that we couldn’t climb Cigu Mountain as it was closed for maintenance, but hopefully we’ll get the chance next time. I’m sure the view would have been amazing!
The salt field was definitely our favourite part of the trip. The scenery was beautiful and it was great for sightseeing and taking photos.
Overall, the whole trip was very smooth and comfortable. Having a private tour was especially convenient for our group, as we had elderly family members travelling with us. No rushing around and we could enjoy the places at our★

Booking Taiwan High Speed Rail tickets using Trip is no problem and convenient. However, when I went to pick up my ticket at the Zuoying High Speed Rail station, a female staff member, having just finished serving another customer, immediately placed the handover tag on the counter. Then, when I went to another male staff member at a different counter, she immediately removed the tag and served the next customer. Her service attitude made me feel very uncomfortable.★

It was very convenient and hassle-free, both booking trains and picking up tickets at the counter; just follow the steps. When picking up tickets, if there's a train departing earlier than the booked time, the staff are happy to change the time to an earlier one.Trip.com picks
