The ticket exchange point was at the entrance to the airport MRT, and the staff spoke a little Japanese, so even though I couldn't speak any English, I just showed them my voucher and they exchanged it for me! I was glad I was able to get a slightly cheaper ticket here. I was also able to top up my card at the nearby MRT Information Center! Since I only had the opportunity to ride the train three times, I topped up my card with 100 Taiwanese dollars.★

I used it from Tainan to Taoyuan. I reserved a time in advance on the official website and headed to the station. When I showed my passport and reservation number at the ticket counter, they asked if I wanted to change the time, and when I told them I was fine with leaving it as it was, they issued me a paper ticket. They spoke simple Japanese and English. The interior of the car was air-conditioned, making for a quiet and comfortable trip.
