We took a boat for just us ... we left early ... sea was flat on the way out . Great captain and mate and "guide". Going out early you might snag a "private" beach which can be yours until you leave ... very safe boat ... wind up in the afternoon but great boat in a little choppy sea on run home. Great experience and a really well organised activity. Booking was quick and easy with simple instructions. The menu sets change depending on the day of the week. Four dishes have as a good variety of more popular dishes and the local, less well known flavours.
Promptly collected from the hotel at the agreed time, first spent 15-30 minutes at the local food market. Geng was happy to answer all the questions. Outdoor kitchen was spacious and well equipped. We were in a group of six. Welcome drink was a nice touch. With Geng and his wife (and mother) nearby, they were plenty of staff available for advice and instructions all the time. The recipes are not complicated but very tasty. Geng and O were able to explain the role of each ingredient in the recipe and advice on the alternatives to use when cooking back home. Each person made four delicious dishes, which have it's plenty to eat. They boxed up any leftovers we wanted to take with us. Water, tea and fruit was offered. Pictures taken and shared with the group.

Wonderful cooking experience with Geng. Good service to be picked up. We went to an authentic market and were introduced to lots of Thai ingredients. He has a lovely open air kitchen with all the appropriate gear. The cooking was easy and we were well instructed. We cooked authentic Thai food from the local region of Ko Samui. The food was simple yet delicious and loads of it. I would highly recommend this tour. ★

It was a very good trip. There was a car for round-trip transportation, and the tour guide was there for the entire day. The bus ride from Hanoi's Old Quarter to Halong Bay took about three hours. I rarely sit in the back seat, but it was surprisingly comfortable. Along the way, I was able to see exotic scenery, and Halong Bay was also quite beautiful. It's just that after seeing so many mountains and rivers in China, I didn't find it as stunning. However, the cruise experience was very good. There was a bathing pool on the top deck, so if you have children, bring your swimsuits. It was a very enjoyable day! The tour guide spoke English, and some of the boat staff spoke Chinese! Highly recommended!★

This was a group tour with tourists from all over the world. The guide spoke Chinese, English, Japanese, and even Korean. It was a real challenge, and we were so competitive.
The bus was almost full.
The drive seemed to take about an hour, with a 10-minute stop at the Takayama service area, where everyone could do some shopping, use the restroom, and take photos.
We stayed in Takayama for two hours, and it was a pretty tight schedule.
We rushed to attend the Miyagawa morning market in Takayama, which closed at noon. We enjoyed some popular favorites like beef sushi, cat cafes, seasonal fruits, and milk. We also visited Takayama Jinya, the former headquarters of the Japanese government.
The Shirakawa River trip took another two hours, which was also quite tight. The route involved lining up for a bus (300 yen) to the summit. The famous Shirakawa scenery was all captured from the summit.
After descending, we visited a few more houses, but time was limited, so we only visited one or two. There was a fee for admission.★

The group tour in English was very informative, and the transportation ran smoothly. The included lunch included a visit to a local Chinese restaurant, where we were ordered a few dishes so we could try a few different dishes. Overall, highly recommended!
