The Raffles Hotel is a heart of old Singapore. The Long Bar at the Raffles Hotel has been a popular gathering place for guests since the hotel's opening: Rudyard Kipling and Somerset Maugham, Charlie Chaplin and Michael Jackson - and many others paid tribute to this place. It was the most advanced bar in the country at the time, with electricity and mechanical fans on the ceiling (which are still working). Of course, in the Long Bar, you should drink the "Singapore Sling," another unofficial symbol of Singapore - a cocktail that was born here in the early 20th century. Singapore Sling at the Long Bar - two symbols in one place!

Went for the porridge buffet and it was enjoyable. Usually with Teochew porridge you encounter cases of dishes being too salty, but the dishes I tried here were all seasoned perfectly. Considering the variety of dishes offered, the price was pretty good. Though there was a bit of issues when validating my voucher, the staff was kind enough to offer alternatives while trying to sort it out. Also, we were part of the second seating (7.30pm-9.30pm) - so it's understandable that things won't be restocked - and some of us missed out on trying their kuehs. Just a bit bummed about this because the kuehs looked good but overall the buffet was a good dining experience!

Great deals from Restaurant! Initially the staff did not know this offer from Trip, they thought I needed to make reservation via Trip then the voucher was allowed. Appreciate that the staff made their effort to check for me, so that I can enjoy this offer :) so I am the first one using this voucher based on the staff’s comment haha
