Brunei Darussalam, a country that truly surprises you. Our driver-guide, Xiao Tang, led us to visit the two major mosques at the perfect time (non-Muslims can enter between 2 PM and 3 PM). Bandar Seri Bagawan, its only major city and capital, was also a fantastic culinary experience. Xiao Tang took us on a food tour, from the flavorful jolibee fried chicken to the amazing night market snacks, and the uniquely sweet and sour coconut – a refreshing change from the purely sweet coconuts found in China. We also tried the fried tofu with pork floss, the dipping sauce being the soul of the dish. And don't forget to try the local lemonade! We were so engrossed in the delicious food that we forgot to take pictures. Xiao Tang also shared a lot about the local culture and history, making it a truly enriching experience.

I’m so glad I took this tour because it was a great way to be introduced to Brunei. My guide, Fendy, was knowledgeable, kind and fun to be around and learn from. Plus he patiently answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend this tour.
