Fred provided a really informative tour -we would not have enjoyed it near as much without the rich history and explanations. He brought the art to life allowed us to see a glimpse of what it might have been like. Throughly enjoyed the tour and highly revolved!

Ilaria our tour guide was amazing. The information she was providing kept us captivated while all the walking and navigating the crowd. Yes it is crowded however she did a fantastic job of getting us around the long lines and crowds as we walked thru the museum, Sistine chapel etc. excellent and highly recommend this tour

Great experience and Marco was an excellent guide. He took a lot of time to explain the history to us which we thoroughly enjoyed. Season 1, 2, & 3 of Rome’s history. My comments would be to allow more time for visitors to explore the site and take pictures if the tour begins later in the day or is the last tour of the day. Perhaps, this should be mentioned in the description of the tour should anyone choose to go on the later tour. It would have been nice to spend a little more time as well as take a stroll through Paletine hill instead of only referring to it. However, I do appreciate the time spent going through the various phases of the history of Rome. Also, the colosseum does close their toilets (rest rooms) 15-20 minutes before closing so it might be helpful to mention this especially when there are no public restrooms rooms available once you leave.

This guided tour was one of the best I’ve ever experienced in my life. I truly hope Sylvia can continue offering it for many years to come. It felt like watching the movie Gladiator—but with even richer storytelling. Her explanations brought the ancient world to life so vividly that I felt as if I were actually standing in the Colosseum during its prime, surrounded by the roar of history. Thank you Sylvia!

What a fantastic way to view some of the amazing sites in Rome on a 3-hour tour (the Colosseum, Circus Maximus, Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps among others. Our tour guide Luka was outstanding, so knowledgeable, funny and incredibly informative. We chose an early evening time to experience the sites later in the day and as the sun was setting, and to see Trevi fountain, especially at night! Gorgeous! Our trip included a Prosecco to start and a stop at a local, rustic, and beautiful restaurant that allowed us to have some cheese and meats, and a glass of wine in the middle of the tour which was perfect! We would highly recommend as a way to see a number of the historic sites from the outside.


